Hi all, can anyone recommend a great tinted moisturiser please? I have fairly normal skin and don't need massive of coverage ... at the moment!

Thank you

Thank you. I can get to a House of Fraser quite nicely.

BusterGonad · 21/10/2017 13:26

I like Clinique CC cream, it's a bit thicker than a BB which I personally think is a bonus.

LoniceraJaponica · 21/10/2017 13:34

Which for me would be a negative. I have reached the age where less is more Grin

borntobequiet · 21/10/2017 13:36

I would have said Clinique Moisture Surge tinted moisturiser which was great BUT THEY DISCONTINUED IT! Idiots.
Now I use the Boots Natural collection TM as mentioned up thread, almost as good as the Clinique and a fraction of the price.

Lonicera Grin

I think more than brand it would depend on your complexion and finding an exact match would disqualify a lot of brands.

I have very cool undertones so most foundations and tinted moisturizers look too yellow on me. That said Nars is better. I hated bobbi brown and laura mercier, although they are recommended quite often

Clarins hydraquench tinted moisturiser. Used to like benefit but not sure they make it anymore.

mrsmildred · 21/10/2017 17:07

mydrawstring you shouldn't have to buy the item to get a sample, just ask the for one. Space NK are definitely fine with this, I came away with three samples to try last week.

I've also worked my way round all the brands in Boots like this. That way you get a few to try at the same time, at home to really compare and contrast.

mrsmildred · 21/10/2017 17:13

oh, and Clinique (in Boots at least) allow you to return used products if you don't like them. I've just bought the new Even Better Glow foundation, I currently use the Anti Blemish one and was unsure of switching, the sales assistant made it very clear I could bring it back for a refund.

mydrawstring · 21/10/2017 19:04

I know you shouldn’t have to buy to get a sample. But sometimes brands / retailers are reluctant to offer samples. So it’s useful to know that even if you’re fairly sure on a brand / shade, you can still cover your arse.

Bubblysqueak · 21/10/2017 19:06

Body shop bb cream is lovely and light with a hint of colour.

LoniceraJaponica · 21/10/2017 19:06

I find the sales girls on the cosmetics counters in Debenhams extremely helpful and they are happy to give out samples.

VinIsGroot · 21/10/2017 19:19

Clinique CC

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/10/2017 20:00

Another vote for Nars.

I switched to it from Just Skin because it has a better range of colours and does the same job cheaper.

LunaTheCat · 21/10/2017 21:36

The Laura Mercier illuminating one - brilliant. Natural appearance, just a bit glow.

citygirl1961 · 22/10/2017 19:30

The Clinique moisture surge is still being sold in Boots, Debenhams and John Lewis.

laramara · 22/10/2017 19:36

I've been very pleased with Clinique CC also.

borntobequiet · 23/10/2017 08:37

I'll take another look for the Moisture Surge tinted moisturiser in those shops, thanks - however, they haven't had any locally for the last 6 months. Clinique has another product in the familiar oval bottles though, raised my hopes the other week...
One thing I like about the Boots tinted moisturiser is that it has no added SPF. I understand the need to protect one's face from UV radiation but really, all day in an office in Winter? I much prefer to add a layer of SPF 15 day cream under the moisturiser if necessary.

borntobequiet · 24/10/2017 12:30

Well thanks, citygirl as I was able to get some of the Clinique TM in Debenhams - however the salesperson said that they only had it as a result of special pleading and it was still to be discontinued.
I don't know whether to encourage others to buy it so as to increase demand and save it, or to say don't as it will leave the remainder for me.
So just don't buy the 03 shade, I want the remaining stock.

ElspethFlashman · 24/10/2017 12:34

Today in Tesco the Nivea one was half price so I bought it just based on this thread. It was only 2-something so a cheap experiment!

butterfly198615 · 24/10/2017 12:41

I got a CC colour correction tinted moisturiser from Aldi it's there own lacura make and it's better than any foundation I have used, even the expensive ones don't compare to this one. They also do a BB cream in it to. For a tinted moisturiser it's fantastic contains an spf 15 too and is only £2.99.
I got the light skin tones shade and it's the right colour which I never get with any tinted moisturiser or foundation.

It's worth a try for the price.

I find most of the tinted moisturiser to be two watery or thin.
