Here

They're pricey enough and online and I know there's free shipping and returns but the hassle of sending them back....

Would love some opinions. Thanks.

Had a look at teeclutter. I think the boots look nice. Crop flare check trousers, roll neck top, boots. Am I selling the vision??

When I see anything like a plain black ankle boot/chelsea style shoe I think of the uniform from star trek when I was a kid.

As you were.

Blarblarblar · 22/09/2017 20:25

I'm seeing your vision. Love the sock boots. Square toes are on the way back ladies

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 20:44

Aha! Square toes are on the way back! And Blarblar you get my vision!! In my head I look fab Grin.

But I still haven't decided which ones. Possibly the sock ones, they've had a little love here and I like &other stories shoes. I'll wait a little longer.

Love &other stories everything especially the party frocks. Last Christmas I looked like a sexy robot mermaid (in my mind) in real life probably a deranged woman in the throws of a midlife crisis but hey ho Grin

IrritatedUser1960 · 22/09/2017 20:50

Lovely I'd buy them.

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 20:54

Grin robot mermaid!!
I like &other stories too. Have a few dresses from them - love them.

These are pretty everyday boots I'm liking them

CakeNinja · 22/09/2017 20:59

I just think ankle boots are hard, they look like half a boot!
Shoe boots and tall boots I really like.

Ttbb · 22/09/2017 21:01

Not really-don't you think they are but if a funny shape-too tight around the ankle, the toes are a bit weird. At that price you gave a lot of options and could do much better I think.

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 21:18

I can't open the office link Blablar. Which ones are they?

OP posts:
Blarblarblar · 22/09/2017 21:30

I'll try again

If it didn't work called ablaze

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 22:29

Oh I like those Blarblar. I might try them. Tho I don't usually find office shoes v comfy.

I've see these Whistles ones which I like too but sold out in a 7.

I see where the mum boot reaction is coming from but I'm getting a bit of a 60's vibe off them. I like them.

SpeakerOfTheHouse · 23/09/2017 08:30

I like these better - black suede boots - they've a nicer heel..

MrsMozart · 23/09/2017 08:34

They look out of balance.

loveisasecondhandemotion · 23/09/2017 08:35

Nice but not worth the money

Ididnthearanything · 23/09/2017 09:12

I have a pair from last year similar to those, SpeakerOfTheHouse, and I will wear them this year too. But don't you think that Cuban style heel has been around a bit too long now? I'm looking for something different.

OP posts:
SpeakerOfTheHouse · 24/09/2017 09:00

I like the cuban Ididnthearanything as its not too high - I can't totter around at work anymore my legs can't take it anymore! Grin

CountFosco · 24/09/2017 09:44

They are a bit boring but Seven Boot Lane is a good brand and you'll see the money in real life. No way would a £50 synthetic pair from a supermarket look as good in real life Hmm even if the photo looks good online. Money shows in shoes and, personally I'd never spend less than £100 on boots because I think they'd look and feel cheap.

timeisnotaline · 24/09/2017 10:04

Boots should be good leather and last for years so be worth the money.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 24/09/2017 10:22

It seems that mum boots are now trendy again, as are mum jeans whatever they are? Perhaps you have to be 19yrs and not actually a mum to pull them off?

I can't help imagining those first boots worn with M & S bootcut jeans, a fleece and a sensible bob which is off putting. Grin
Quite like those sock boots.

Ididnthearanything · 25/09/2017 00:10

Thanks everyone. I agree money shows in shoes. And your feet thank you for it.

I'm still dithering. But I'm going to order the Office sock boots Blarblar linked and the &other stories boots I linked before. They seem to have had most love. I think I will have a look at the sevenbootlane ones too, because I think they are probably lovely quality.
I know they've not been 100% loved here, but I remain true to my visionWink about the cropped flares, boots, roll neck slightly 60-ish vibe (as a pp said). Of course in my vision, I am about 5'10", and a size 8, perfectly blow-dried hair, highlights just so, no roots, fabulous almost invisible makeup, no sore shoulder, no what the heck time is it I'll never make the school, calm and in control.Grin Doncha love visions.
And square toes....watch this space.

I'm not sure my boot search is over tho. So I will keep hunting them down...

Ididnthearanything · 25/09/2017 09:51

Oh look! I thought i was in an hiatus of boot looking but nay, not so.

Look! Aren't these nice?? And navy too. Oooh. Sold out in my size. Boo. Might have been worth a punt.
