I am so cross!!! My jeans seem to last me about 6 months a pair, of being worn once or twice a week. Then they get little holes around the back pockets and split down the arse. I wouldn't mind so much but the only ones I really like are DL Riley boyfriend jeans and they cost £180. I AM NOT A RICH WOMAN AND I CAN NOT AFFORD THIS.

It has also happened on a cheaper pair of Jigsaw jeans.

They are the type of jeans with a bit of stretch in them, if that makes a difference?

Is this normal or do I have some kind of special jean shredding arse?

G star jeans last really well.
I bought a pair of gstar and a pair of Pepe on the same day. The Pepe ones got holes in within 2 months. The Gstar ones are still immaculate three years later.

Another cyclist here, and another vote for New Look! I buy their jeggings which look pretty good and are brilliant for cycling in. They last well but eventually start fading a bit on the bum.
Also tempted by these cycling jeans from Vulpine, cut specifically for cycling in but ££ compared to New Look!

If you're not adverse to spending a bit more for jeans, True Religion jeans fit and last amazingly!

The holes around the back pockets are due to the studs they put in the top of pockets. In the washing machine they pull apart from the fabric.

My M&S ones did it after a few washes and DH has a pair of jean shorts that are going the same way.

He likes baggy arse jeans so it's not that there too tight.
