Bloody shoe bloody shopping

I have just spent two hours not finding shoes. I have been to Bertie, Hobbs (can't really afford anyway), Nine West, Dune, Jigsaw Accessories, LK Bennett, Fenwicks, John Lewis (out of desperation), Moda in Pelle, Office and Kurt Geiger. All I want is a pair of modern black court shoes with a round toe and something interesting about them - for work. The only ones I liked don't fit or they didn't have in my size - which is basically a 6 1/2. I am so fed up as I just took a rare extended lunch break to do it and won't get the chance again for a long time. Is there anywhere I haven't been that anyone can think of?

lower your horizons and go to M&S and Clarks

PetitFilou1 · 03/04/2007 15:19

Been to Clarks the other day as my sister suggested it - they don't go in for heels much...

Is there a branch of Charles Clinkard near you?
Or Jones Bootmaker ?

They both sell online but I prefer to try on first

PetitFilou1 · 03/04/2007 15:23

I must be fussy MrsB as not keen on any of those - but thanks for trying. Forgot to say, I went to Jones as well and liked loads of their shoes but a 39 is too small and a 40 is too big.

suede from Monsoon?

Schuh?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 03/04/2007 15:25

I had the same problem on Sunday, went to all the usual places, nothing, went to M&S and Wallis and found several decent pairs, bargain prices too. No shoes online for Wallis sadly so can't link for you. Jones are good too, as mentioned already.

themaskedposter · 03/04/2007 15:31

hmmm - yes, I have the problem of sizing too, and often find a 39 too small and a 40 too big.

However, one way around it is to get a 40 and put an inner sole inside them to make them fit my hooves and extra comfy. Only works sometimes though, but worth a try if stuck!

OrvilleRedenbacher · 03/04/2007 15:35
