Bloody shoe bloody shopping

I have just spent two hours not finding shoes. I have been to Bertie, Hobbs (can't really afford anyway), Nine West, Dune, Jigsaw Accessories, LK Bennett, Fenwicks, John Lewis (out of desperation), Moda in Pelle, Office and Kurt Geiger. All I want is a pair of modern black court shoes with a round toe and something interesting about them - for work. The only ones I liked don't fit or they didn't have in my size - which is basically a 6 1/2. I am so fed up as I just took a rare extended lunch break to do it and won't get the chance again for a long time. Is there anywhere I haven't been that anyone can think of?

No, I'm a 5 footer who went to a fancy dress party as a pole dancer . I am about 5'8 in them, so I do occasionally wear them around the house .

This is more me although sadly not more my budget . I am LK Bennett woman in real life.

FoghornLeghorn · 03/04/2007 15:56

FARK ORF !

Personally, I don't particularly like those but have seen lots of Jimmy Choos I would like if only I could afford them.

Come on Cod !

bozza · 03/04/2007 15:58

I like those shoes cod but cannot classify them as cheap.

littleEasterlapin · 03/04/2007 15:58

They are my one and only pair... my wedding shoes, a treat to me from me .

The last pair of shoes I bought were £12 from New Look, that's more my world these days

Ooops should have checked out this thread

Ok maybe round toe is not really what I mean, it is more the almond toe shape I like. I'm bored of the WAG pointy toe, stick thin heel thing and think it looks a bit severe as you get older (I'm thinking of the mid 40s women in my office who have great figures but when they turn round their faces are like pickled walnuts from too many sunbeds)

petitfilou - you mean the 1661s - 16 from the back, 61 from the front

PetitFilou1 · 03/04/2007 16:04

Yes littleeasterlapin - that is so what I mean. They have usually have no children either, just a walk in wardrobe instead.

Sometimes I think I would swap DS for a well equipped walk-in wardrobe ... he's doing his Andrex puppy impression at the moment

PetitFilou1 · 03/04/2007 16:07

Those Schuh shoes are nice but not quite what I'm after - need something a bit more elegant. I'll have a proper look later when I'm not supposed to be working

I would happily swap ds for a walk in wardrobe at the moment - he's being a pain. dd on the other hand is just 19 months old, girly and funny (I guess I'll get my comeuppance when she's 15.....)

DS is a week shy of 1, and has just pulled every baby wipe out of a new box... oh well .

These are quite smart ?
