Navy lace dress... what colour of shoes?

I am leaning towards blush pink but open to ideas!

I love nude with Navy

I wore a navy lace dress to a celebration a while ago and wore bright pink suede shoes. I think with navy you can get away with most colour shoes.

Nude or gold

I recently wore suede, blush pink shoes from Russell and Bromley with a navy pink dress. It looked lovely.

Nude will always look good with navy...

I had a navy lace dress a good few years ago and I wore red shoes with it.

I hadn't considered hot pink...!

I know that nude is a classic but it's a bit too kate middleton-y for me and I have zero requirement for a nude shoe at any other event/etc. I don't mind spending a couple of hundred on a shoe but I'd prefer to find one I'll enjoy wearing.

I have been doing a lot of browsing online but I think i am going to have to bite the bullet and go into the city to try shoes on.

I like a quirky shoe but not in the realm of irregular choice. I just like an interesting material or detail rather than all out 'My shoes are also teapots'.

I'll probably pop into Russell and Bromley and Dune... any other good shoe purveyors that I am overlooking?

I have a navy mini skirt that I wear for work with navy opaque tights, a white shirt and burgundy patent loafers. No idea if it matches or looks good, but I have had compliments, and I like it!

Locked out- I'm wearing all white gold jewellery so having gold shoes will set my teeth on edge....

I do wish I had some nice gold jewellery... there's always Xmas I suppose :p

Olenna I had a pair of LK Bennett many moons ago but they were a pointed toe court shoe and just about murdered my feet. I have no idea if it was the shape of the shoe or if they are manafacturers of torture implements masquerading as shoes.

Depends... if it's a nighttime thing I might opt for silver/gold, otherwise grey or nude

LK Bennett are crap. God knows why they're so successful. You're right about the torture implements.

Now i know i can do a mad dash to the shops with a few colour options i feel mighty relieved

I'd go with a metallic, though I guess that might not work if you're wearing a lot of gold jewellery too.
