Hmm
Swizzler · 29/03/2007 18:30

Have you tried Monsoon? Got a nice summery dress for a wedding there.

toadstool · 29/03/2007 18:30

Hmm, think I need to rethink!! I'd only consider a summa tnicer if it allows for bulging front AND back ends!

Size 14, brown hair, kinda pasty. Shoes: green ballet pumps, or brown kitten heels. Bag: dark tan half-moon thing.

What I do not like: maternity horror !

I'm size 14 and at my brother's wedding next weekend, doing a reading too, so feel obliged to look decent...I'm wearing (so far) a rather summery number from crombie (the result of 5 hours' shopping last week) for which I now need shoes and a jacket/cardigan its here, click on collection, ss womens, bottom right poppy print dress but I have also seen fab stuff in monsoon and have some cream trousers from there in reserve...

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:49

what sort of wedding?

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:50

surely if oyu onyl haev a tiny bump then you can wear smart trews wih a standard size top( mayeb a size bigger) and fab bag and shoes?

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:50

what kind of shops do you normaly like?

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:53

DANCESwithaTruckLoadOfMiniEggs · 29/03/2007 18:54

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:55

littleEasterlapin · 29/03/2007 18:57

Have you looked at East ? Same sort of ethnic vibe, but, er, nicer (sorry ).

Also, 50% sale at the moment!

OrvilleRedenbacher · 29/03/2007 18:59

ok efforts not appreciated

am orf

dingdongjustforyoufg · 29/03/2007 19:01

no problem - I found it a pain too, only looked after I'd bought it, not a shop I've even contemplated going in before, but it was in the window and i was desperate! The old biddy serving in there took nearly 15 mins to sell us a dress, I don't think she'd had any other customers all day

toadstool · 29/03/2007 19:24

Many thanks Orville - delayed by bathtime business, your efforts most appreciated! Trousers are out for me thanks to first trimester cheese toastie fixation... HOWEVER I've rooted around at the back of the wardrobe and found a 20s-style brown lacy number from Phase Eight (last Summer) that turns out to be surprisingly stretchy around the tum - think I'll go for that, with matching brown jacket (it has a silk bow at the front - I reckon I might look like an easter egg in it but anything is better than the Art Teacher Massacre).
