Orlando in September - what do I wear on my feet?

I''m thinking Skechers Bobs? I can't bring myself to wear Skechers Go Walk (I may bump into someone I know!) and I suspect trainers will be too hot/sweaty to wear all day?

I don't think any of my sandals would be comfy enough to walk/wear all day.

I wore Converse or flip flops when we were there.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/08/2017 22:00

I've walked miles this summer in Avarca (Menorcan) sandals with a low wedge heel. They are very comfortable and I didn't need to break them in.

MissBeehiving · 07/08/2017 22:02

Toms or sandals but as we're on site we won't do full days in the parks. When we go in October I'm going to wear my sanuk slings - they're comfy and dry off quickly.

wobblywonderwoman · 07/08/2017 22:05

I recently bought these sketchers. So so comfortable

Whatever you wear it has to be very comfortable and capable of walking long distances in

2gorgeousboys · 07/08/2017 22:16

When we were there last August, I wore trainers, they were light and airy and also quick drying for the off storm which caught us out.

TheProf · 07/08/2017 22:19

I wear crocs basics flipflops - not too flat and very cushioned heels. Walked for miles in them.

Memory foam sketchers. Soooo comfortable.

pambeesley · 07/08/2017 22:20

SKetchers. Don't worry about what you look like, I've had blisters in theme parks in Orlando and sore feet and it makes the parks miserable.

Remember there are brits with bumbags, that's how's little people care about what they look like there

oliviafrombolivia · 07/08/2017 22:20

I got plantar fasciitis when I wore flip flops around the parks.. so something supportive..

OldBagLady · 07/08/2017 22:24

There is ZERO style in theme parks if that's what you're doing. Day one I wore gold Havaianas, day two my orange gym Asics trainers with trainer socks and a Minnie Mouse visor. Not joking.

Go Walks will still be the most stylish shoe around.

LoniceraJaponica · 07/08/2017 23:50

Just go for whatever is most comfortable. Converse or flip flops don't support my feet enough and I alternated between Go Walks, Bobs and comfy sandals.

Seriously, Orlando is not about style, but comfort. You will be on your feet a lot so look after them.

cad186 · 08/08/2017 00:09

I wore fitflops when we went, they were really comfy and I had no problems with blisters, sore feet etc.

LoniceraJaponica · 08/08/2017 06:31

Depending on what rides you go on aren't you in danger of losing your shoes if wearing flip flops?

fishonabicycle · 08/08/2017 06:35

I wore my super comfy sparkly fit flips all the time in Florida - great for walking around the parks, cool (it was super hot and humid) and dry off easily.

Cherylvole · 08/08/2017 06:54

I wore flip flops or trainers . People over egg the walking

NeverTooOldForAnything · 08/08/2017 07:07

I wore Fitflop sandals when I went in the Spring.

We had 2 weeks there, walking between 8 and 20k every day, and I didn't suffer from sore feet or back at all!

DH was wearing trainers, he kept getting blisters

ArsenicNLace · 08/08/2017 07:16

I wore Fitflops (a pair which had a heel strap). Walked for miles and so comfortable.

PNGirl · 08/08/2017 09:55

Non-leather trainers for me. I wore Nike Tanjuns.

Whatever you do make sure you break them in. The best footwear is old footwear, no matter what it looks like.

I wear Clarks Un sandals. Bit 1970s teachery, but who cares?! They are made from one piece of leather so don't rub.

Peachypeaches · 08/08/2017 18:55

I wear Skechers on the go sandals, and crocs flip flops. The Skechers are like walking on a cloud, and the flip flops are a few years old now and super-comfy.

Coffeepot72 · 08/08/2017 19:36

Just how much walking is involved in a day at the parks? First stop Magic Kingdom!
