Orlando in September - what do I wear on my feet?

I''m thinking Skechers Bobs? I can't bring myself to wear Skechers Go Walk (I may bump into someone I know!) and I suspect trainers will be too hot/sweaty to wear all day?

I don't think any of my sandals would be comfy enough to walk/wear all day.

I find standing and shuffling in lines makes my feet ache more than the walking so I've learnt my lesson and usually wear my good trainers around the parks, and also take slip-on converse and walking sandals for the evening (that's as dressy as I get there). My feet don't seem to get too hot at all in trainers.

I wear climacool trainers, keep feet cool all day

"Just how much walking is involved in a day at the parks?"

I think I recall reading that the average is about 7 km a day. As CadiM has pointed out you do spend a lot of time standing in queues. We found that we did the most walking at Epcot and the Animal Kingdom.

@Coffeepot72 we went to Magic Kingdom twice and walked about 14k each time. Epcot was the most walking we did ( nearly 20k) , Hollywood Studios the least ( about 9k) . Basically it really depends on the park and what you do in it.

I got some nice looking comfy sketchers that are memory foam that are not go walks.

Cupoteap · 08/08/2017 22:27

We only did half days and was up to 14k steps

A lot of walking! Seriously - we do full days and it is a lot of walking and a lot of standing. Nearing 30k steps usually.

I suffer greatly with my feet in hot humid weather - literally end up with two feet covered in blisters. Nightmare. We've done July/early August so much hitter than September to be fair.

Don't worry abut what they look like. Style is not a huge thing in the parks. No-one cares at all. Honestly. Go for comfort, not style.

I have tried all sorts over the years.
Trainers and socks - can get warm, but if comfortable leads to less blisters for me. Nothing ever stops them totally though. Not great if it is heavy rain or water rides though.
Sketchers - tried Bobs and Go Walk. No bad and fairly comfortable. I can do a full day in them. When very hot I still get a few blisters though and they aren't always ideal if they get wet on a water ride.
Fit Flops and Birks - great for water rides. But I don't find them comfortable enough.

15y DD always wears trainers.
DH usually wears Birkinstocks or Toms.
Neither suffer with nightmare feet like I do though.
