Recommend a tinted moisturiser?

Have been using Laura Mercier for the last few years and I do like it but wondered if there's anything else out there I should try?

I can't get on with normal foundations they just break my skin out with little red lumps. So I guess they are too formulated.

I've tried the Botanics BB cream in the past (think it's discontinued now) and it was ok but the colour wasnt right.

Lily Lolo and Bare Minerals make me itch and are too drying for my skin age (41)

Didn't like the boots No 7 BB cream or the tinted moisturiser, or any of their foundations in fact.

Have tried a Nars sample but I can't remember what it was like which suggests I didn't rate it enough to buy it.

Bobbi brown for me

Arealhumanbeing · 19/07/2017 12:40

Origins Vitazing. It adjusts to your skin tone and the new version has SPF 40.

Paddingtonthebear · 19/07/2017 17:49

Thanks everyone. I'm worried the Nivea one will be like their other creams, thick and strong smelling and greasy on the skin?

Might try and get into space nk when I have a child free moment

La Roche Posay tinted BB cream is fab, and not just for oily skin - it's perfect on my normal to dry sensitive skin.

Paddingtonthebear · 19/07/2017 20:16

Which La Roche Posay? There's a few different BB creams in their range? I'm guessing the Hydreane would be best for dry skin but it's no longer stocked in Boots Hmm

I have got through a number of tubes of the origins tinted moisturiser (Vitazing) that's pretty good. But it could leave my skin a bit sweaty in summer.

Now I'm very pleased to have discovered Naked skin tinted moisturiser by Urban Decay. It's amazing because it moisturises, but leave a semi-Matt finish. It's good at evening out my skin tone. It does leave weird white marks on my fingertips though! Best applied with a brush (I like real techniques).

I used to use Laura Mercier, it was best in class back in the day, but think there are better products out there now for less money.

A couple of years ago I received a free tube of Liz Earle tinted moisturiser. I threw it away, it was awful, looked terrible on me and didn't blend very well, felt cheap.

MiddleagedManic · 19/07/2017 21:29

Sunsense Factor 50? First one I found that my skin doesn't react to.

BluebellGal · 19/07/2017 21:34

Oh and I didn't like the Ultrasun tinted moisturiser sunscreen - too thick and dark for me.

Paddingtonthebear · 19/07/2017 21:43

Is the Urban Decay Naked a tinted moisturiser or a foundation? I can only find a foundation

Body Shop Fresh Nude is a foundation, but it has the coverage and feel of a tinted moisturiser. I used to only use TM/BB cream but love this - very dewy but good coverage and doesn't sit on my dry skin.

BluebellGal · 19/07/2017 22:19

It's called Naked Skin one and done. Its a hybrid complexion perfectly?! Basically it's a tinted moisturiser not a foundation (there is also a foundation under the Naked skin line). It gets great reviews and doesn't bring out spots in my skin (foundation causes my skin to flare up hence why I don't wear it and this is a good compromise).

BluebellGal · 19/07/2017 22:21

Should be hybrid complexion perfector -whatever that means!

Paddingtonthebear · 20/07/2017 07:35

Fab thanks!

The balm cosmetics balmshelter tinted moisturiser is really nice! U can get it online from allbeauty.com or Debenhams

WaxyBean · 20/07/2017 08:16

It cosmetics (though more of a foundation imo), caudalie tinted moisturiser or guerlain baby glow are all good in my opinion.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 20/07/2017 08:34

I love Nivea tinted moisturiser too, so cheap, so versatile, you can build it up on areas you need a little extra coverage, non greasy and just all round fab.

GemmaB78 · 20/07/2017 08:40

Another vote for the Nivea one. It's not thick or greasy at all. Really good product at a great price.

juliasalinger · 20/07/2017 09:12

I really love the Garnier BB cream in light (and extra light in winter for me). It's around £10 normally but I usually pick it up for around £7 when it's on offer.

Paddingtonthebear · 20/07/2017 19:20

Do you all mean the Nivea BB cream? Or the Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream? Confused

I mean the one on the right. Moisture day cream. I love it, just suits my 49 year old skin, enough coverage but non greasy and doesn't cake

Paddingtonthebear · 20/07/2017 19:49

Oh balls I just bought the BB cream Hmm

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 20/07/2017 19:49

I've been using Clinique city block for the last two months

When I bought it I thought it went UNDER foundation and was just a good spf moisturiser

It's not, it's tinted and I don't need any other foundation - it's bloody marvellous

I don't think it comes in different colours but I'm pale and it suits me

minipie · 20/07/2017 20:15

I meant the Nivea BB cream Laurie (one in the left) but I see everyone else meant the other one! Might try that one next time, though I do love the BB cream.

My guess is they are pretty similar anyway Grin
