'Going out' top needed before next week 😮

Have a few things to go to over the summer. Not in same place or with same people.
Could do with a nice top to wear with black jeans and heels (I guess)
In a size 14/16 that covers tops of arms / belly. I ordered this as I thought it would fit the bill but it was hideous.

Any ideas please? Needs ti be here by mid week

I like both your pics

NearlyFree17 · 16/07/2017 20:05

You are a similar shape and age to me.

The black dress is good. The red dress id try a size smaller. But for going out wear, I'd go for a dress every time over the "smart top and black jeans" combo which I think just looks frumpy, sorry.

shamoffour · 16/07/2017 20:35

You've got great boob and a waist, the red dress hangs off your boobs and hides your waist making you look bigger than you are.
The black dress is FOXY and the grey top looks lovely. You look great in both.

shamoffour · 16/07/2017 20:35

Boobs not boob!

thegamblersmrs · 16/07/2017 20:42

You look cracking in the black dress. Very classy. The black heels you had on would go great with it. Have more confidence in you, you look fab!
The light coloured top looks great too.

Breezybreeze · 16/07/2017 20:46

The black dress looks incredible. I like the second top but the shape of the first one really suits you. Im not keen on the print to be honest.

The shoes with the jeans are outstanding. Can I ask where they are from?

I honestly think you look good in all of the outfits. Your confidence doesn't match how good you look.

Agoddessonamountaintop · 16/07/2017 20:48

Remus (sorry to hijack op), I've only wornot once to go put for a meal so haven't washed it yet. Does that make me minging? Blush Hadn't read the care label but will probs handwash the first few times then bung it on a dwlicate wash if it seems okay. It's quite big on me so not the end of the world if it shrinks a bit, as long as the threads don't go all uneven. Might not bother with the darker version after all!

Agoddessonamountaintop · 16/07/2017 20:52

Op you look great in both the dresses. I think the black one shows off your figure better but like the colour and neckline on the red one. You have a waist that goes in - emphasize it while you still can!

BikeRunSki · 16/07/2017 21:00

The black dress looks fabulous, and I love it with the silver sandals.

The red dress is nice, but the cut does not flatter you as much as the cut of the black one.

PossumInAPearTree · 16/07/2017 21:02

Where is the black dress from? Its lovely.

TeamRick · 16/07/2017 21:22

I was just going to ask where the black dress is from too! Really like it!
You look great in it!

Bravas · 16/07/2017 21:33

Your posts don't match your photos at all! You are so down on yourself and picking at every flaw. Your photos show a completely different lady to the picture you painted, you look fabulous, cracking shapely figure and you really have great style. Please don't cancel going out, go, put your glad rags on and have a great time.

The silver grey top looks amazing, the outfit is perfect. The black dress is my favourite, shows off your fabulous curvy figure.

SmileAndNod · 16/07/2017 22:45

You're all too kind. No one else sees what you do though. I don't expect (or want) to stand out or for people to notice me. I just think that I do stand out because of how I look, but not in a good way. I worry people may make comments.

The black dress is from Closet and is half price in the sale for £31. The black shoes are old - got them from Matalan I think for about fifteen quid (I like shoes. They pretty much always fit).

I'm so indecisive. And it's only a pub do this week as well so not even sure why I'm fretting so much!

I LOVE the red dress! Where is it from?

Jellyheadbang · 17/07/2017 00:29

Oh wow! You look absolutely gorgeous in all those things. U must have a filter that distorts your reflection when you're looking at it?
Honestly I'd be happy to look like you in any of those pics and the Shoes look fab too. Don't buy anything else!

yourerubberimglue · 17/07/2017 02:02

You look great in every pic I've seen! Chill and realise that no one is analysing you as much as yourself x

SmileAndNod · 17/07/2017 06:29

The red dress is from Wallis in Debenhams. I actually thought about trying a size bigger. Doubt I'll lose any weight over the summer!
