Would they be good for someone with weak ankles?

Anyone know any chains that sell them so I can try on?

I've just bought some this week. They're comfy, and have done me no harm straight out of the box on my daily school/work walk which is 3mile round trip.

However, for some reason I expected the sole to be softer somehow. More like Birkenstock.

Love the look though, and smart enough for work unlike my birkies.

Beyonze If you are very cool, you can probably wear just about anything, style it your way and manage to pull it off. It's an attitude as much as what you are wearing. Unfortunately not many people are that cool and putting on a pair of retro style sandals doesn't make someone cool if they aren't already. And there is no getting away from the fact they practically create cankles on the slimmest of legs.

Ok, in that case then, frumpiness is not in the sandals itself but in the wearer?

I dunno, but I think Saltwaters look like every other sandals in the market.

I love them lookswise. I don't own any but i got some very similar sandals in Clarke's last year because they were cheaper. Just had a look and they dont have them anymore.

I like these though. £45 Clarke's.

I quite like my "frump" to be authentic!
