Graduation outfit

I really need some help in finding what to wear to my graduation ceremony.

It's on the 12th of July so expecting hot weather. Ideally I want a blouse which has detailing on the sleeves/cuffs to show through the gown and some on the front of the blouse as well. I don't want to be too boring and go for white so was thinking a blush colour blouse with black trousers?

Where can I find a blouse like this? I feel like I've checked everywhere, but can't find any! Prepared to spend about £30 on the blouse.

The trousers I will probably get from Zara; smart and tailored trousers and then for shoes a mid-heel (so I don't trip on stage). Does this sound like a good outfit? It's my first graduation and I'm also the first graduate in my family so everyone will be expecting pictures. Thanks in advance.

MrsLettuce Omg who would spend that much on that top?!

Just feel like I'm never gonna find anything. Everyone says check zara.

Well, yes checking Zara is rarely a bad plan. Unfortunately they don't have one. Nobody seems too.

You can also do two pins to either side of the gown, rather than to the shirt. Tends to hold it straighter too!

EduCated · 05/07/2017 22:54

Black piping

MrsLettuce · 05/07/2017 22:58

That sounds like a good tip, EduCated.

Why not get this one that I linked before. You did see that it comes in cream? The boohoo one doesn't look very nice, the one I accidentally linked earlier is a similar fabric but a nicer cut. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.laredoute.co.uk/ppdp/prod-350060193.aspx?dim1=1&dim2=1&LGWCODE=35006019300010001210017;112805;6479&kaPt=affiliatewindow&kaTckM=pcwr&kaPcId=58244&kaAcId=222&kaTckId=79682&kaPgmId=1496&kaAdPtId=0&kaRdt=www.laredoute.co.uk/&omniturecode=Affliates-79682&utm_source=Affiliate%2BWindow&utm_medium=Affiliates&utm_campaign=79682&kaPt=affiliatewindow&kaTckM=pcwr&kaPcId=58244&kaAcId=222&kaTckId=78888&kaPgmId=1496&kaAdPtId=0&kaRdt=www.laredoute.co.uk/&omniturecode=Affliates-78888&utm_source=Affiliate%2BWindow&utm_medium=Affiliates&utm_campaign=78888" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here.

Lilac with lace

HysterectomyHysteria · 05/07/2017 23:06

My top tip for graduation hoods is to pin it through your blouse and onto the centre of your bra. Stops the hood slipping back and pulling your shirt up and strangling you!

velvetroses · 05/07/2017 23:15

EduCated thanks for the tip I'm going to come back to this thread on the day to read them over again.

I do like that lilac one but there's no collar

Is this any good? Press left or right to get the colour you want.

velvetroses · 05/07/2017 23:15

MrsLettuce I don't like the front of that top! I'm sorry I'm not trying to be fussy on purpose!

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 05/07/2017 23:16

Any good? Sleeves probably too short. They also have a white ruffle girt that might do.
