How confident are you showing nipple when going out at night?

Just that, really. My new strapless bra turned up today and it's delightfully comfy but my nipples are pretty obvious.

Am I being silly?

No, i don't think you're being silly. I don't think many people intentionally go out with visible nipple silhouette. I always wear moulders cups for that reason.

RoganJosh · 08/06/2017 16:30

*moulded! Moulders sounds horrible!

LaContessaDiPlump · 08/06/2017 16:32

Is the edge of your nipple clearly visible? I wouldn't!

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 08/06/2017 16:32

It's moulded bras only for me. I wouldn't feel right at all with my nipples standing to attention through my clothes for all to see.

RoganJosh · 08/06/2017 16:33

Just to clarify, is it nipple shape sticking out or arieola peeking out at the top. I was presuming the former.

ilovewelshrarebit123 · 08/06/2017 16:37

You need some silicone nipple shields, eBay is your friend here.

I wear them a lot, stops everything showing through!

Redcrayons · 08/06/2017 16:50

I wouldn't.

silkpyjamasallday · 08/06/2017 16:54

I have never cared about my nipples showing through clothes, but then I never used to wear bras as I hate them. Why would you care? It's not obscene, imo the moulded cups make boobs look unnatural. We used to joke at the nightclub I worked in that 'nips for tips' was why the girls got more tips than the boys behind the bar.

namechange20050 · 08/06/2017 16:54

If you're happy with people looking then crack on. Because people will look!

It's baffling why nipples are regarded as so unacceptable or whatever that they are "black-crossed" out of photographs. I think they are pretty. At least mine are.
I certainly would not wear nipple covers. How ridiculous.

ThreeForAPound · 08/06/2017 17:11

I wouldn't be comfortable with any nipple showing, no.

QueenMortificado · 08/06/2017 17:12

I like my nipples showing. I have big boobs and while they remain upright I quite like a bit of nip showing the outline.

I mean in a Jennifer aniston way, rather than the sort of puffy whole nipple / braless way

Akire · 08/06/2017 17:16

I wear silicone covers because mine stick out lots. Even with padded bra and a jumper they are plain to see ! I'd never wear a normal
Bra and a t shirit it would be obscence! In fact even at home by myself no bra I hate the way it looks.

I'm in awe at women we never have problems in this area and can wear what they like. Nipple come in all size if yours are bearly visable that's great but some Of are not so lucky.

RtHonMistress · 08/06/2017 17:19

I don't have an issue with it bar the fact that mine are huge so I would feel way too self-concious to have them on show. Fair play to anyone who has them visible though, they're just a normal body part.

If you're not happy, buy some nipple shields and they'll do the job nicely. I read in a magazine that using plasters works as well but a) it doesn't, b) they don't stick well and c) they hurt when you peel them off at the end of the night!

GloriaGilbert · 08/06/2017 18:03

Hm. Rather a mixed bag of responses.

I do mean the outline, by the way.

My husband loves it (how predictable). I think I'll try it and see how it goes - it does seem like a fairly low-key way of being a bit racy.

Not showing - just the outline.

You need some silicone nipple shields, eBay is your friend here.

Do you slip them into a bra, or are they self-adhesive?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 08/06/2017 18:09

I'd be worried about a silicone nipple shield working it's way out and landing on the bar.

On a night out, it's likely to be a dimly lit venue. I doubt your nipples would be noticeable, or cause a scene.

Onceafortnight · 08/06/2017 19:48

I always wear moulded or padded bras so I've never noticed it as a problem.

Wanttobehonest · 08/06/2017 19:50

I still have "lilypads" from breastfeeding and use them - as not I would not be confident showing the outline of my nipples Blush

BreezyBreeze · 08/06/2017 20:07

Visible nipple outline? Confused
It's a no from me.

Iamastonished · 08/06/2017 20:25

I thought all strapless bras were moulded and slightly padded anyway, so I don't "get" what the problem is.

Akire · 08/06/2017 20:39

That's probably because your nipples are not very big when erect then! Wanna swop? Even padded bra shows mine, not just an outline but a full lump.

Sunnymorningwithbacon · 08/06/2017 20:41

Some of you would hate me. Sometimes I go braless. Not to work but the weekend when rushing out the shop or out in the evenings. I have nipple rings. Not a stuff do I give. Look away (in either sense!)
