How confident are you showing nipple when going out at night?

Just that, really. My new strapless bra turned up today and it's delightfully comfy but my nipples are pretty obvious.

Am I being silly?

Why do you all care so much? Crikey, this is going out gear, not the attire of a High Court Judge. No one will notice or bat an eyelid.

It's like Victorians covering piano legs!

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 08/06/2017 21:08

I don't think anyone is getting up in arms about it tiger. The OP asked a question and people, including myself, answered it. I don't actually care what the OP does with her nipples. Though I did laugh at her use of the word 'racy'Grin

PacificDogwod · 08/06/2017 21:11

Would not bother me.

Humans have nipples

outabout · 08/06/2017 21:18

Not only men but all mammals have nipples (the hint is in the name!).

Iamastonished · 08/06/2017 22:03

It wouldn't bother me, but people will notice. Remember Charlie Dimmock?

QueenMortificado · 09/06/2017 11:49

There is a real difference between wearing a bra and having a hint of nip poking through and having quite sizeable boobs and being able to see absolutely everything a la Dimmock!

Hi poster I'm new here but your thread caught my eye but apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick!

Have you tried the stick on things they look a bit like nude coloured fabric in the shape of a flower? I use these (from new look) when wearing backless body suits and so I go braless and wear these. I don't think it makes nipples invisible totally, but it really disguises them to an non-obvious level and they don't move around. After you're finished just remove and throw away. No embarrassing things in the bra situation at the end of the night!

However if you are happy to be nipples out I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and if your nipples face all the way up then you're lucky :)

Auldspinster · 09/06/2017 16:02

I've never bothered if my nipples show. I don't go bra less but I can't be doing with moulded or padded bras.

knitknack · 09/06/2017 19:01

This used to be 'normal' in the 70s, before padded bras... how have we moved forward in time but backwards in terms allowing women to have nipples (just like any other mammal)?! Makes me sad

Pistachiois50pmore · 10/06/2017 10:34

Nipple covers sound a bit weird and paranoid but I'd pick a bra that didn't show them. I've got big boobs though, and I think nipple outline on me would be overtly sexual - whereas could be carefree and gamine on a C-cup or smaller.

Akire · 10/06/2017 19:00

That's the difference If you can just "pick a bra" that doesn't show them your nipples arnt very big. Those of us who are "werid and paranoid" ave nipples that stand to attention for no reason and no amount of padded bra will flatten them. It's not outline it's an actual proper bump

Iamastonished · 10/06/2017 21:05

Mine are titchy (and so are my boobs Sad). I wear bras that are pretty well padded and don't see how anything could show through them.
