Anyone up for a challenge? I need help to find an evening dress just like the one I missed out on on Ebay

This one.

It's for an evening do in July. I would like something green, needs to be short, as I'm a shortarse and long dresses swamp me. I'm a size 12 with big boobs, and although the Ebay one doesn't have sleeves, I think I need either quite wide straps like that one, or short sleeves.

The lovely thing about the Ebay one was all that lovely ruching... would've hidden a multitude of sins.

I've trawled the internet, looked at John Lewis, HoF, Phase Eight, all the usual suspects, and I just can't find a thing that I like.

Oh, and the other thing is, I'm one of the hosts for this event, so I need to look AWESOME.

Not a big ask at all, is it? Grin

Oh thanks, but sadly not. She relished it twice, but I only saw it the last time. It sold last week for £26. Bummer.

My budget is around £150. Not sure about getting one made... it would be a lot of fabric and a fair bit of skill, i would think.

Am wondering about the fifties / vintage look, or has that been done to death?

Sorry to be a bit late coming back to the thread, but THANK YOU all so much for the lovely links. I've never seenPretty Kitty before, but some of those look lovely... particularly like this

And Mrs B, that green Phase Eight number on Ebay looks perfect. I will definitely put a bid or two on that one Smile
