I think so, and maybe something like this in your hair?

asleep · 13/03/2007 12:59

ok thanks
i've been wondering what to do with my hair!

Love the dress and hair clip - but you may need something for your arms for outside.
Maybe a wrap or cardigan?

DimpledThighs · 13/03/2007 13:06

TBH IMO I would try it on and take someone honest. It is nice in a good colour but it looks a little bit mumsie to me.

Sorry if I am being a bitch - if you like ti great - I stress the IMO

asleep · 13/03/2007 13:11

don't worry dimpledthighs! i wanted honest opinions!

i've tried it on today and DP and i liked it. he said it showed off my curves. but we're both not sure about the pattern.

if you are curvy the style is great and the tie under the bust would emphasize them. If you are youthful and glowing you will carry it off.

DimpledThighs · 13/03/2007 13:14

my sister is about your shape and size and she looks really good in one colour rather than patterns. did they have any other dresses in the same style?

DimpledThighs · 13/03/2007 13:16

(and if you are asking on mumsnet that might mean deep down you are not sure.)

Okay will shut up now.

Beetrootccio · 13/03/2007 13:17

I would wear a suit if you are size 20. That dress will not do you justcie.

Skirt and jacket or beeter still trousers and jackert

massagemum · 13/03/2007 13:34

But nobody is wearing suits to weddings at the moment. That will mean that you may feel uncomfortable. I think the dress is much more suitable to what people are wearing to weddings currently. Can you ask what other people are wearing.

massagemum · 13/03/2007 13:35

By the way i used to be a size 20 and i think that a dress of this style is probably really flattering for you. I found that suits just made me seem a lot bigger.

bundle · 13/03/2007 13:38

I think it depends more on your body type than actual size about whether this dress would flatter you - I'd look terrible in it cos I have a large arse and empire lines only make it look even more humungous...

DimpledThighs · 13/03/2007 14:09

she is curvy so I think it would work - just unsure about the print.

ScottishThistle · 13/03/2007 14:23

If your larger it's better to go with a dress rather than clothing that splits your body into pieces...Suits are so old fashioned nowadays unless it's a dress & jacket!

I don't love the pattern or colour of the dress but if it suits you then go with it!

Beetrootccio · 13/03/2007 14:56

nobody? of course they are - a spring suit

this

for example.

Theyalso have along green coat that o=looks greak with cream wide trousers

ScottishThistle · 13/03/2007 15:00

Per Una has to be one of thee most unfashionable clothing ranges ever, I wouldn't go anywhere near it if you have an ounce of style & are under 50! [look of disgust]

nailpolish · 13/03/2007 15:03

omg beety that suit is disgusting

a spring wedding calls for a teadress style IMO

boden?

nailpolish · 13/03/2007 15:04

here

Beetrootccio · 13/03/2007 15:12

pmsl at unfashionable.

i ratherlike that suit - think it could look pretty stylish.

I don't wear per una - I don't wear M&S really but when yu are a size 20 it can be limiting - I have looked with my mohter for smart stuff.

Beetrootccio · 13/03/2007 15:12

I like this but not sure I coudl wear Boden

nailpolish · 13/03/2007 15:13

no beety no no no

could never look stylish, that suit

ever.

Beetrootccio · 13/03/2007 15:14

sorry but better than oooking pregnant in the op

nailpolish · 13/03/2007 15:16

yes possibly beety

(had a slight panic for a sec that you do in actual fact HAVE that suit)
