Is there a non transfering sort of instant fake tan?

I'm after something I can put all over to make my legs and arms look nice bare but no fake tan works on Me, they all streak etc and Iv tried loads. So I'm wondering if there is something that can be washed off but won't come off into clothes or when you sweat or get caught out in the rain??

i've got a st tropez instant tan lotion which is amazing. it's bloody dark/stainy though when you apply it.
so, i do it with gloves/mitt, i mix it with my body lotion before applying as it looks terrifyingly dark when you squeeze it out the tube.
BUT - it dries quick and colour fast, and it looks wonderful.
I'd def recommend it.
I've never noticed it on my sheets, and rinses off in the shower the next day.
so i guess it wouldn't do well in the rain!!
but well worth a try.

Sally Hansen - excellent stuff

Purplerainbow · 05/05/2017 05:53

Thank so everyone this all helps. What about the perfect legs skin miracle??

Body Shop do a spray on leg mist (can also use on arms) that gives a colour and a shimmering oil that you can use over it. Both are temporary and wash off

Dontsayyouloveme · 05/05/2017 08:17

TheGirl - what colour Cocoa Brown do you use! I've got blue skin it's that pale!!

mimiasovitch · 05/05/2017 08:21

I use the perfect legs one. There's not a lot of colour, but enough for me plus it evens the skin tone out and smells lush. I actually pinched my mothers, but I would definitely buy it again.

Purplerainbow · 05/05/2017 09:04

Wow so there are a few possible contenders... mimi what's it like on your arms? Do you find it rubs off?

To be honest, I've tried about every fake tan going and now I've given up - I get a spray tan from a salon if I want to look brown. Like previous posters I am a naturally pale blue celt with red tones in my hair, and freckles, but there are now several excellent brands available that don't make you look orange at all. The ones I've tried at salons all have "express" versions which mean it only needs to be on for a couple of hours before showering, and the results last for about a week.
Only drawback is that I come back from holiday looking paler than when I went Blush
However, no giveaway dark palms, no mess, no streaks, and no white patches where I haven't quite been able to reach. Can no longer be arsed with the faff of doing it myself at all!

mimiasovitch · 05/05/2017 09:52

Purple - I've not tried it on my arms. To be honest, they seem to get some colour, but no matter how long I spend in the sun, my legs refuse to do anything other than consider turning pink. This stuff takes the chill off a bit, without looking fake. I do use the sally Hanson spray for more colour on occasion.

I recently discovered Skinny tan which is a single application then lasts 7 days. It was amazing and I didn't get the usual streaks. No transfer either. You put it on before bed after showering and using a primer, go an atrocious mud colour overnight then shower again in the morning which leaves you a lovely colour. Was the best I've ever tried! Oh and it contains an anti-cellulite firmer which was a bonusWink

I'm not very good at links, hopefully this works. https://www.skinnytan.co.uk/

hollyisalovelyname · 05/05/2017 16:33

OP that's the one I am referring to that India Knight raved about. I was really disappointed with Perfect Legs.

TwoBeams · 05/05/2017 16:38

Laura Geller Tahitian Glow. It's a baked cream, you can use it with a brush over make up to give a hint of tan, but it comes with a puff that, when you apply wet, gives a fantastic tan on your arms and legs.

Purplerainbow · 05/05/2017 17:50

I don't want to do a fake tan... I want a put on, stay on for a night out dancing, then washes off in shower.... I need to re read through and pick these out!

Sally Hanson medium.
Stays put.
It might come off on the sheets a bit.
Make sure it's dry before dressing though.

NeverTooOldForAnything · 05/05/2017 18:18

Sally Hansen is definitely not a fake tan OP, if that helps.

I can't believe how many people don't read the OP properly

Purplerainbow · 05/05/2017 20:12

Yes Iv used the sally Hanson but years and years ago and remember dashing out in the rain and I had water marks Grin yes I definitely don't want a fake tan!!

OP posts:
Fabellini · 06/05/2017 19:01

I did read the OP, but I'm not sure that what she's after, actually, reliably exists!
So I thought I'd offer an alternative option that works for me, and might be an "oh, I didn't think of that before" idea for anyone else, that's all NeverTooOldForAnything Confused

Tazerface · 06/05/2017 23:21

The Body Shop do a range called Honey Bronze (?) I think which is amazing. I bought the most last year, I spray then use one of those mitt things to blend. They've just released another item to the range which is supposed to be good.

I always find that day two of fake tan I get terrible wearing of the colour and it just looks shit if I reapply. I love that this washes off.

Purplerainbow · 07/05/2017 07:14

fat I'm aware I'm asking a lot from a product Grin

I will have a look down body shop too. I loved the nars oil but the small but I put on disappeared by the time I got to the car!

OP posts:
Nyancat · 07/05/2017 07:43

What about the nuxe shimmer oil? I use the normal one and it smells lovely and sheen lasts ages but am going to try the shimmer one when my current one runs out for the same reason you are looking.

NeverTooOldForAnything · 07/05/2017 12:53

@Fabellini my comment wasn't aimed at you in particular. I am just surprised that the OP specifically asks for something that can be washed off and not a fake tan, and two thirds of the replies are about fake tan.

That's all Smile

A vote for Sally Hansen Airbrushed Legs, it's a spray, but I spray it into my hands and then rub it on. Needs a proper shower and soap to remove, won't streak in the rain, won't stain clothes. I've worn it with white skirts and been fine.

Kit30 · 11/05/2017 19:16

Vita Liberata for one off application. No streaks, no transfer & showers off. Easy.
