WWW's six week 10 year younger boot camp, Feb to April, WEEK FOUR

WideWebWitch · 11/03/2007 22:01

Gosh, week four already, that's come around quickly. Everyone's welcome.

The rules are:

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times. I know it's winter, there are still rays trying to damage your skin
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can, I am booking out lunch hours where possible to do this
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible. I am doing my heels daily too as they're lizard like
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

You don't have to report back every day but I almost certainly will as it motivates me thinking someone is watching me.

Welcome all members old and new.

Someone tell me about Pilates? I've heard good things about it

WideWebWitch · 13/03/2007 18:39

Listen, I got a bonus AND A pay rise today, am really, really tempted by nipping out for a tandoori chicken and half a bottle of Champagne but making sure a) I drink water too b) I DO NOT go for the second bottle and c) I'm still in bed by 10.30pm as I have a train to catch early tomorrow am.

What do you think ladies? Shall I? OR must I stick to the plan and wait until Thursday night, which is the last day of my week?

Well thank you for your permission, I WILL go out! Ex dh is here and has said he'll babysit both children so dh and I are going out NOW and won't even have to pay a babysitter. I really want to celebrate, it's twice the amount I was expecting

I am very happy and will probably never ever leave the company I work for now I have compressed hours, a bonus, a decent pay rise, a nice new boss, a 20 minute commute, what more could a woman want?

Batters, sorry, didn't realise I hadn;t replied, have just done so.

And all of you, who's on for a 10yy London dinner or lunch? Names down please!

winnie · 13/03/2007 20:19

WWW, congratulations!

I've been somewhat lapse in the last two weeks BUT dd has returned home, separated h and I are starting over and I passed my driving test today so as of tomorrow I am back in the boot camp and feeling happier by the day

jeangenie · 13/03/2007 20:33

that all sounds very positive winnie, onwards and upwards...

welcome back (hark at me welcoming sheep back to the fold, went awol myself last week!)

so, managed to get through the sleepy day from hell. At one stage I was over talking to a colleague about a software delivery that was running late and I felt myself o faint with lack of sleep and had to sit on the floor behind his desk luckily he is a mate and his desk is in a corner so I was otherwise unobserved!

egg sanger for lunch with yoghurt covered faux health bar
apple
brown rice with chicken and roast veg for dinner
no booze (it's TUESDAY!)
spf face cream on
no walking (just dazed stumbling)
three large glasses water (better)
2 dbl espressoes and many nice cups of tea

of to watch some expo of what's really behind organic meat now and thence to bed

hope you all had good days

yoyo · 13/03/2007 21:17

Jack and half a bottle of champagne, what more could a wickedwaterwitch want??

Congrats!!

Lizzer · 13/03/2007 22:14

Hey WWW, don't want you going all soft hearted and mushy here

Only jesting m'dear, what a lovely day you've had, and a promising future to boot... If this is the kind of life the TYY plan ensures, then bring on the aduki beans!! Sold, to the blonde!

Well done everyone, I went swimming

swedishmum · 13/03/2007 22:45

Well ndone to Winnie and WWW!

I've been having a spectacularly bad few days - no real reason, just feeling v v sorry for myself. Basically although we're in SE I hate living so far from civilisation. Just gets to me from time to time.

I'd be up for a London meet up but only on condition that everyone realises that while I have made lots of progress doing this (thank you www) I do still look a right sight. Don't worry, I'll sit in the corner with a paper bag over my head....

puddle · 13/03/2007 23:14

I've had a terrible day.

Two glasses of wine and about 10 roses chocs.

Will start over tomorrow.

Well done on pay rise and bonus www - please be gentle with me.

Am def on for london meet

Clocking in today. Malt loaf- good food, bad food? Had a bit for breakfast anyhow....

Batters, well done for losing 2 stone, i had no idea (me being an abscondee for so long) That's really amazing

Winne, sorry i didn't see your message last night. I'm so pleased for you that everything's going well for you...

Focussng on drinking water, not coffee, today..

Wanna hear some major bad luck? I'm managing a chocolate and cake shop for 4 hrs today....Hope I don't 'manage' to eat its contents.... I'm going to be surrounded with temptation on every shelf AAARRGGHHHHHH!!!! Wish me luck

lilibet · 14/03/2007 09:07

I fell a bit yesterday with cake and sausage and mash for tea.

always mean to take my mash out after the milk and before the butter but somehow never quite manage to do it

I am struggling with the exercise, I usually have something to do in my half hour lunch, today it's buying a birhtday present and I'm doing an OU degree so nights are taken up.

but it is only half an hour so I should be able to manage that

17 weeks today till the hols

Are you all in London apart from me?

sunnywong · 14/03/2007 09:09

hello everyone

I am feeling a bit better now after the weekend
back on the grilled fish and greens
and then a 10 k bike ride

Good luck to you all

Oh, also got one of those face packs from lush today, "Old Gimmer's anti-pebbledash and cadaver glow"
will keep you posted

yoyo · 14/03/2007 09:23

Batters - well done with the weight loss. I am clearly not disciplined enough!

A glorious day here. Have had my usual cereal and banana breakfast and walked the children to school. I didn't walk back with anyone though so did it in double quick and slightly sweaty time. I have a feeling that today will be a GOOD day.

I would like to make a London meet up if we can work out a date to suit us all.

jeangenie · 14/03/2007 13:10

I'm on for a London meetup

can we all eat crap and get blotto?

tortoiseSHELL · 14/03/2007 14:31

Oh I'd really love to come to a London meet up, not sure how I'd wangle it (stuck down here in the West Country), but I'd love to in principle.

Been good today - had ultra healthy tomato and basil soup for lunch, and had extra long swim with dd and ds2 (so it wasn't the early morning one, but never mind) - after ds2 got out dd decided to swim lengths with her woggle so she and I did about 30 lengths of the little pool(!). She can swim faster than me on her back and she is only 3!) So that must count for something.

Lasagne and salad for tea - we've got a friend coming - will encourage dh to buy beer not wine, as don't like beer and will drink water instead!
