If you can help me I will love you forever! My knees are red and look stupid and stand out and means I don't wear shorts and shorter skirts and I want too. I don't even care about the shape etc I just want to lighten the skin to normal skin colour?! I exfoliate and I use eucerin on them. They are sort of bobbly too. Iv also tried using nip and fab pads on them and that made no difference. PLEASE PLEASE help me!!!

If I knew, I'd say. In the meantime, I'll bump for responses.

Probably no help but just a thought... have you tried a green concealer on them? It balances out the red in skin tones.

Purplerainbow · 11/04/2017 20:29

No? Never tried that! Although... won't help me when I'm by the pool on holiday Grin will investigate though thanks.

Is ot keratosis pelaris? If so, flexitol 25% urea will sort it in a few days. Did mine, I've huge patches on front of my thighs just above knee level

Purplerainbow · 13/04/2017 06:08

I'm not sure? I definitely had that on upper arms and the eucerin got rid of it but has made no difference to my legs? I do have lots of red bumps on my thighs though that I can't get rid of??

I'd give flexitol a try on the thighs, helped me

burnishedsilver · 13/04/2017 09:46

Flexitol worked for me.

Purplerainbow · 13/04/2017 10:18

Ok.. is that the foot cream? Once a day?

Found the heel cream 25%?

Inarightpickleandchutney · 13/04/2017 16:02

That's the one! It's so thick so apply at night, few days really helped me

Purplerainbow · 13/04/2017 17:27

Ok.. you don't think it will clog the skin and make it worse? I take it you mean this for thighs? I guess It won't hurt trying on my knees?

Hi could you try lemon juice? It's long been used to lighten dark skin on elbows so I bet would work to 'bleach' knees too.

Purplerainbow · 13/04/2017 18:19

I Actually got some lemons to try it!!! Grin but no idea how long I'll have to do it for etc?

I chuck a load of Sudocrem on mine in the morning, and the colour of it seems to tone down the redness of my knees and it sorts out the rough dry patches too. Worth a try, there aren't many houses without an old tub of Sudocrem hanging around somewhere!

Inarightpickleandchutney · 13/04/2017 18:43

Nope no pain at all!

Purplerainbow · 13/04/2017 18:58

I have sudocrem...

BusterGonad · 13/04/2017 20:48

Is it psoriasis? My elbows are red and white due to this.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 13/04/2017 21:00

Hmm Sudocrem sounds worth a try. My knees are not really red, but the skin os excessively thick and dry, and if I wear fake tan it looks like I've got filthy knees. Have tried Flexitol and Vaseline and loads of posh lotions/oils. Flexitol does work on the keratosis pilaris, btw.

Purplerainbow · 14/04/2017 06:11

They aren't massively red but a different colour to my legs so they are what you look at. I look like Iv been kneeling down?? But the skin is thick and bumpy as you say...

Purplerainbow · 14/04/2017 06:34

How about underarms???? Mine are fugly. Really bumpy? All the 'creases' are really sort of exaggerated? I want smooth armpits like everyone else? Gp was no help when I mentioned it when I was there for something else? Any ideas?

BusterGonad · 14/04/2017 07:55

I think your knees are stress psoriasis from kneeling down too much, my elbows are red and bumpy from resting in them too much.

Purplerainbow · 14/04/2017 07:57

I don't ever kneel down (well if I do it's not very often?) due to my back problems I don't even kneel to clean tend to squat! I just meant tbey look like Iv been kneeling down, when you get up and have red knees?
