Calling all fashion gurus and sandal lovers, Mumsnet needs you!

We're pulling together a round up of the best summer sandals for 2017 and we want to hear which ones you love. Whether it's some you've had your eye on this season or a trusty pair you've had for years and wouldn't be parted from, we want to know which sandals get your vote. The pick of the bunch will be featured in an editorial piece this spring, so now is your chance to share your footwear wisdom with the world.

If you fancy joining in, pop a link below and tell us what you love about your chosen pair

Thanks for sharing everyone, lots of great picks here! I bought the Clarks romantic moon sandals after seeing them on here, and two years on they're still the comfiest sandals I own!

Clarks sail cruise but they don't seem to do them now
These appear to be the replacements and I'm now eyeing them up!

Those are pretty Ollivander84, but they have no support so I couldn't walk around all day in them. I need sandals that offer support like those Teva ones that Tiredy linked. That's why I don't like the look of Saltwaters as well.

mowgeli · 07/04/2017 17:20

I really love these except I'm not 100% sure how to wear them what do you ladies think?

Birkenstock Arizona or Mayari, staples and have been now for years and years. If I want to look a little smarter, Sam Edelman Gigi still going strong.

SilverMachine · 07/04/2017 17:57

ThePortlyPinUp they are fab!

I've worn these for about 3 years now Lotta sandals, they come in loads of colours and 2 different heels heights.
High arches mean I can't wear flat shoes, the only exception being birkenstocks. I also have sky high Hasbeens but they are only comfortable for a limited time.

ILoveMyMonkey · 09/04/2017 19:27

I just bought my first pair of Havaianas, wore them today and they were super comfy.

Mowgeli didn't did you size down or get your normal size in the Palmairas?

ScarlettDarling · 10/04/2017 08:58

Im loving the new sandals range from Ugg . I'm torn between theseEmiliaOnes and these Char ones but there are lots of other lovely ones too.

VintagePerfumista · 10/04/2017 09:46

I'm undecided between Varcas/Palmairas or these Pikolinos. I have a thing about natural tan leather and can't have my big toe on display as it's rancid.

Pikolinos

My feet are big and white and I would look like Shrek or Hagrid in either Saltwater or Birkenstocks.

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 10/04/2017 10:39

I've ordered these black Dune ones. Am contemplating ordering these tan palmaira wedges but unsure what size to get. Am normally a 5 but some reviews suggest sizing down. Never had palmairas before so don't know how much they stretch.

I have and love Saltwaters and Birkies, but I'm a recent convert to Varca/Abarca sandals from Menorca. I went there last summer and may have gone a little crazy buying them, but they're so comfortable, and come in so many colours.

mowgeli · 11/04/2017 12:07

bounce I got the size down in the sandals so I'm usually a 36 but got a 35 in them and wore them on Sunday not the whole day admittedly as we were at the zoo but they fit perfect. I was paranoid about them being too tight or too flat but they weren't and I think also it's probably a case of them relaxing as you wear them more and being bigger the more you use them.
I was going to send them bCk and try the bigger size but they don't do exchanges only refunds which is something to bare in mind if they didn't fit you
X

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 11/04/2017 17:06

Thanks Mowgeli. Just a bit concerned about my foot hanging off the end of them if I size down and get a 4 instead of a 5. Equally I don't want them slipping off me so I might just order the 4 and stop procrastinating about it!

leccybill · 11/04/2017 17:13

Lots of good recommendations here but I have very narrow feet and something as plate-like as Birkenstocks look completely ridiculous on me.

I've always rated New Look for sandals and flip flops, been buying them for years and never had a bad pair! They've never rubbed, broke or hurt me.

228agreenend · 11/04/2017 18:20

I don't like open-toed sandals so usually buy something like this.

www.charlesclinkard.co.uk/women-c1/sandals-c4/francesca-01-womens-sandals-p24197?attribute%5B1%5D=16447

Josef Seifels aren't cheap, but are well made and so comfortable. I can walk around in them all day.

I can't quite get the love for Saltwater sandals which seem old fashioned and fuddynduddy to me, the sort of sandal my mum would wear (sorry Saltwater).

IdaDown · 11/04/2017 18:30

I've got a bit of a thing about my feet - I don't like showing my toes.

However, I've bought these.

Espadrilles from Monsoon. Padded sole.

Similar to Saltwater, but no toes on show!

I go for Fitflop, comfy and stylish.

BikeRunSki · 11/04/2017 19:34

Birkie Mayari for me too. Apart from anything else, I have wide size 9 feet and not much else fit. But, tgrh are very comfy and I walk miles in them and have never felt the need to seek alternatives.

GriseldaChop · 11/04/2017 19:47

I like be these http://m.fitflop.co.uk/en/womens/view-all-womens/embellished-edit/fitflop-glitterball-toe-thong-sandals/GlitterToePostAW16.html?dwvarGlitterToePostAW166color=Silver&dwvarGlitterToePostAW166size=UK%203%20US%205%20EU%2036 sandals by Fitflop. I love almost all fitflop sandals, shoes and boots and own several million pairs! They are the comfiest shoes ever and I especially love the sparkle on these ones for my hols. Smile

Bluntness100 · 11/04/2017 19:49
