Calling all fashion gurus and sandal lovers, Mumsnet needs you!

We're pulling together a round up of the best summer sandals for 2017 and we want to hear which ones you love. Whether it's some you've had your eye on this season or a trusty pair you've had for years and wouldn't be parted from, we want to know which sandals get your vote. The pick of the bunch will be featured in an editorial piece this spring, so now is your chance to share your footwear wisdom with the world.

If you fancy joining in, pop a link below and tell us what you love about your chosen pair

Does anyone rate Ugg Kari sandals? They're very expensive, but I'm tempted by them.

marmiteloversunite · 04/04/2017 22:16

Has anyone got the seasalt sandals? I am tempted by the two pairs for £40 offer. Nice colours too.

LaPampa · 04/04/2017 23:10

I just bought the rose gold salt water slides. I alternate them with birkenstocks and ordinary salt waters depending on what I'm wearing. I can walk miles in the salt waters and perfect for both running around after kids and London summers as they don't mind getting wet.

margaritasbythesea · 05/04/2017 06:15

OCSock I found this UK stockist for naot.

Donostia · 05/04/2017 06:30

I still love love love the Sam Edelman Gigi sandals that were recommended on here 2/3 years back. They are slightly cushioned whilst still looking fashionable and dainty, and I can really pound city pavements in them.

Second favourite, and these are very marmite, are Birkenstocks (the one strap version).

totallyliterally · 05/04/2017 06:33

I live in my Birkenstocks mayari but need to replace them as after 4 years wearing from April - oct soles are worn and they smell Blush

Was walking passed the hotter shop and went in after someone mentioned them here.

Ok so 99% of stuff is hideous in there. They had these in leopard print

And then these in silver

I tried both on and my goodness so comfy. And squidgy but I just couldn't get passed the frump.

But if I was doing a walking holiday I'd be back getting a pair.

I buy every year a pair of metallic sandals from Dune

I have two favourites- Clarks Ledella trail and Yokono Genova.

The Clarks ones have a squishy light faux wooden (plastic) sole and the Yokonos have a molded suede flexible footbed for walking miles in.

Also have some from Esska which are excellent.

Squishy footbeds are a must.

Gingefringe · 05/04/2017 16:20

I am coveting these hush lovelies but not sure if I can justify the price tag.

NewPantsforaNewYear · 05/04/2017 16:30

These Varcas are my favourite. I think I might have pistachios this year, having had tans ones which have lasted a couple of years.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/04/2017 16:42

Ladies Saltwater sandals. Perfect for the beach and walking everywhere in them. I have a red pair. Beautiful colours and you can even swim in them!!!! Mine are immaculate despite swimming in the sea with them on!!!

Honey!! I love these sandals have been looking for a pair everywhere imma order me some now. How do they come up for sizing?

ThePortlyPinUp · 05/04/2017 16:52

For summer daytimes I have Miss L Fire "Harlow" sandals. They are really comfortable but still a bit glitzy. They were quite expensive for sandals but were worn all summer last year and have recently been brought out of the wardrobe for this summer too. So far I own them in red and gold but may end up with the green if I catch a pair cheap on eBay, they quite often sell off sample stock at huge discounts. shop.misslfire.co.uk/vintage-inspired-shoes/womens-shoes/Harlow%20sandal?colour=red+sparkle

Saltwater fans-does the ankle strap sit quite low on the ankle can you tell me? I love about three pairs in the website but I don't do well with ankle straps that sit too high as they make my legs look stubby.

mowgeli · 05/04/2017 16:54

Honey I've just ordered them 🐒🐒

I like the other ones with an ornate print on I'll get them next week when my husband is working and doesn't see the parcel arrive 😆

rizlett · 05/04/2017 16:57

Gotta be Birkenstocks every time for me - especially the new softbed designs.

I even love them in winter - with socks! (only indoors of course....)

mowgeli · 05/04/2017 17:00

For the last few years I've always worn flip flops I have to admit that and it's really let me down style wise.
Then if I need something as a formal sandal I usually wear one with heels.
Now I am a mum I need something(s) GrinGrin that are more casual but not flip flops Wink

MoiraRosesMeltdown · 05/04/2017 17:39

These Dunbe wedges are really comfy

MoiraRosesMeltdown · 05/04/2017 17:40

Gingefringe They are gorgeous

Vicliz24 · 05/04/2017 19:52

Birkenstocks every time , Mayari are fab! For smarter days I can go anywhere in my Flys

Nospringflower · 05/04/2017 20:12

Yeah i have realised I am not keen on all flat sandals apart from the hush ones Ginge posted. Liked the Clarks ones but they were heeled which I am happy with but were dearer than the Urban Outfitters ones!

TiredyMcTired · 05/04/2017 23:17

Birkenstock Mayari, I hankered after them for aaages and finally got a pair last year in silver. Bloody love them, I walked miles and miles around Florida's theme parks and the still look like new Smile
I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and flat arches so need style, support and comfort and have become quite a shoe hunter to get something that fits the bill. I also second the Earth Spirit sandals, so comfortable & I get loads of compliments when I wear mine.
I also bought these Teva sandals which are comfy for walking around in. www.teva.co.uk/6310.html?dwvar_6310_color=CLTB#start=8&cgid=women-sandals
I am planning on buying some Hotter moulded footbed sandals soon too, as they get lots of great reviews.
My most expensive buy was some Ugg wedge sandals with a cork footbed that are stylish to wear when I need to be more dressed up but still need comfort. Can't find a link though

TiredyMcTired · 05/04/2017 23:20

Also meant to add that I ordered some Saltwaters after reading rave reviews on Mumsnet. I can't understand why they get such attention though, they are hard and flat with no cushioning or support, my feet would have been agony after 5 minutes wearing them!
