How many coats do you have?

Weird question coming into summer but I'm curious!

I have a regular wool type coat, a trench coat, a parka, a dog walking coat & a blazer.

They're all past their best so next year I'm looking to upgrade but I'm wondering how many I actually need.

Not many at all. I have been living in hot climates for the last 6 years though. I'm eyeing up a Blush trench coat for April.

A smart woolly coat. Not worn it for years, as i outgrew it, but it fits again and i still love it.
A seriously weatherproof and warm berghaus ancroft parka
A teal seasalt tiller coat. Warm and waterproof but not at all windproof.
Blue seasalt bowsprit coat.

We get a lot of weather, here!

I have an obscene amount. I love coats and jackets it doesn't matter what I'm wearing underneath if my coat looks gorgeous. My real weakness is jackets. I've got:
Trench coat
Wax jacket
Thick down coat
Boring fleece
Short parka type coat
Sheepskin jackets (4)
Biker jacket
Other leather jackets x 2
Linen jackets 4
Smart work type blazer x 3
Jersey blazer for summer x 3
General other wool or tweed blazers x 3
Denim jackets x 4
....I'm sure there are others I can't remember. Some of them I've got too fat for but I live in hope that I will slim back down and fit in them again.

Barbour waxed jacket which I wear ALL the time, white stuff smarter coat for winter, full on waterproof sprayway for when I'm being "outdoorsy" or when it's totally pissing it down on the school run a denim jacket from primark which I actually love, a blazer I wear in the summer, an awesome duster jacket thing I've had forever and a joules rain mac for autumn, spring summer. Think that's it. I had a major coat sort out when I kondoed!

I thought this was going to be loads but I am only average for the thread -phew! Think I've sent a lot to the charity shop in the last few years. I buy a winter coat maybe every other year?

In heavy rotation:

Yellow rubber rain mac

Wear quite a bit:
Dark red wool boxy COS guy
Vintage orange tartan cape
Trench coat (2 identical ones because I liked it so much - JW Anderson for Topshop)
Green rubber rain mac (bit knackered, lives in car)

Hardly ever wear:
Sensible black wool coat (too boring)
Tweed a-line (needs fixing)
Grey vintage cape (not warm enough)
Sailor collar (bit Alexa Chung wannabe 2009)

Two.
One is a waterproof one that has a zip-in fleece. The other is a 3/4 length pale coloured cotton coat for special occasions. I've had it 9 years.
