In the flesh it's more orange than red.

It fits nicely and I'm planning to wear it on the school run on cold days with skinny jeans.

I'm 5ft3, slim with dark hair.

What's the verdict: good or evil?

I like it!

SleepFreeZone · 16/03/2017 19:05

I will also add that I think anything can look grumpy if you're overweight. Sorry but it's true. If you're slim and wearing skinny jeans and big boots it will look lovely.

SleepFreeZone · 16/03/2017 19:06

Frumpy Blush

Bluntness100 · 16/03/2017 19:11

Definitely police your lower half though-you could easily go all Hayley Cropper with the wrong trouser...

floatingfrog · 16/03/2017 19:16

I agree with Corial. It would only work if you are tall and French but then you wouldn't wear it!

Dull sorry as is all of Saltwater - it's the new Joules and Boden

pinkhorse · 16/03/2017 19:17

It's very frumpy and mumsy. Sorry!

Footle · 16/03/2017 19:34

I have one of those. I'm old enough to be your grandmother and live somewhere wet and cold and often murky. The orange colour has probably saved my life a few times. It's amazingly lightweight , warm, windproof and properly waterproof. People do talk some shite on here at times.

floatingfrog · 16/03/2017 19:37

You're not wrong Footle! Grin

leghoul · 16/03/2017 19:54

It's evil because it is a disconcerting mix of lightweight and spring and practical and cool and then teddy bear hood furry

leghoul · 16/03/2017 19:57

It could look really "on trend" or whatever with short short cut off denim shorts and a midriffy flashing deliberately aged stripey t shirt and some desert boots and smudgey eye make up and artfully distressed hair

I'm assuming not the look you're after

leghoul · 16/03/2017 19:57

But I do like anoraks
Like that
Without the furry bit

IrnBruTortie · 16/03/2017 19:58

I love Seasalt clothes; they wash and wear so well.

MyHairIsMyHair · 16/03/2017 20:04

I've come full circle again.

I live somewhere wet. At the moment my lifestyle is very much school run and walking the dog.

I'm young with slim legs (not French but hey), I can totally rock this coat.

Thanks all. This is super helpful.

Googling Hayley Cropper and Desert Boots.

leghoul · 16/03/2017 20:27

I think I mean military boots not desert boots Grin I should clearly quit the day job and style grazia photos instead
I LOVE the orange. Ive just bought an orange bike
this coat could work for cycling too
misses point of thread entirely

Itsjustaphase2016 · 16/03/2017 20:30

Love it. V cool. And I'm what people regard as a "cool" dresser...

Footle · 16/03/2017 20:37

OP, I'm proud of you. You won't regret it. Excellent price too.

Runsforwine · 16/03/2017 20:45

It's gorgeous, i love Seasalt clothes!!!

MyHairIsMyHair · 16/03/2017 21:43

Wear it in good health.

herecomesthsun · 17/03/2017 19:10

I like the furry lining, the colours either look dull or eyewateringly neon unfortunately

user1488922437 · 17/03/2017 20:43

Love it, with Breton tee, skinny/mom jeans and converse!
