Can people with brown eyes look good with blonde hair or highlights

Or do the brown eyes make it look not right ?

You see it naturally on quite a lot of people who are half some kind of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern nationality and half Northern European. It looks good on them so as long as you are either a natural blonde or using a shade that suits you (warm or cool) then I don't see why it shouldn't work.
