The comfiest flat black ankle boots ever?

SelfieADay · 15/02/2017 16:13

Right, I'm not convinced these shoes I'm dreaming of exist as I've had no luck finding them myself but I'm turning to you lot for help looking please. Comfort is absolute top priority but I'm quite picky about style too and not exactly rich so budget is not massive.

I have one of those jobs where I have to be on my feet all day running about, lifting shit and whatnot but I also like to look alright as I'm customer facing (and vain). I have to wear all black and need the comfiest shoes possible for obvious reasons. At the moment I wear trainers but I would like another option, ideally I would like some super comfy flat ankle boots that are equally (or more) comfy than my Nike Airs. Do these exist? If they do please tell me where!

Many, many thanks in advance Smile

I may be over invested in defending my comfy boots.

BubbleWrapQueen · 15/02/2017 20:28

Fly boots. Hands down the best boots I have ever owned. I now have five pairs. Knee high, ankle, lace up, buckle. I live in them, have walked miles in them. I wouldn't buy any boots bar Fly now.

whitehandledkitchenknife · 15/02/2017 20:36

Another vote for Fly London boots. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Collymollypuff · 15/02/2017 20:44

Thanks, I've just bought some Nike Airs online. you norty norty people

MairyHoles · 15/02/2017 20:45

The Fly ones I linked to/ bought are really lightweight compared to my very similar pair from Clarks, they really are comfy! There was a similar pair but calf length and they were equally comfy!

BubbleWrapQueen · 15/02/2017 20:54

They may not be cheapest ones white handled but god do they last. I have pairs that are years old and still amazing. I live in mine from October through to may.

friendlyflicka · 15/02/2017 20:55

I have found anything by Carvela Comfort is amazing. Even things with heels.

BubbleWrapQueen · 15/02/2017 20:55

That was meant to be agreeing with you that they're worth every penny btw! Realised it didn't sound like it after I hit post!

Collymollypuff · 15/02/2017 20:56

Oooh, Carvela.

whitehandledkitchenknife · 15/02/2017 21:04

Agreed Bubble Grin

Carvela comfort - these are really nice. Don't know what they're like mind as I don't own them but would like toGrin

SwedishEdith · 15/02/2017 21:21

Any good?

ChocolateSherberts2017 · 15/02/2017 21:30

I bought the Ugg Wilcox which are really comfy and now I'm on the look out for comfy spring boots. If only Ugg made an unlined pair of Wilcox then I'd be sorted as I like the biker boot style. So I'm watching this thread with interest.

itsmeitskathee · 15/02/2017 21:37

Worth having a look at Moshulu. Very comfy and great customer service.

SwimmingMom · 15/02/2017 21:47

Hotter ankle boots. The ultimate on comfort, not top in style but manageable. Definitely worth the compromise. I have knee issues & need super comfy shock absorbing footwear. They are in the range of £65+

SelfieADay · 15/02/2017 22:28

Oooh so many replies! Thank you all so much! Just got back from a (not very successful) Tinder date. Now I'm a tad tipsy and have a million boot tabs open.

Just ordered the ones rosybell linked to but will probably get a few to try on.

I really like the Carvela Comfort ones but I think I might aim for a slightly lower price to start with and then go pricier if I need to.

These are like slippers for comfort but so supportive. I've walked 6 miles in them today and didn't think about my feet once IYSWIM.

They may not be smart enough for work though? And are currently out of stock at QVC but if you liked them you might be able get them elsewhere.

SelfieADay · 15/02/2017 22:58

Those do look incredibly comfy but a bit casual yes. I'm actually a bar person in a nice restaurant so it's that combination of lugging boxes and kegs around, madly running to the cellars for more wine or lemons or whatever but also twatting about making cocktails and chatting to fancy dressed up folk.

I do love a good, comfy shoe thread, especially after suffering with PF, bad knees and a job that has me on my feet all day, and up and down the stairs.
I just had a look at Hotter, and found myself pressing the purchase button!
HOTTER!!
I consider myself a still-got-it, young 44 year old. The allure of comfy footwear cannot be denied though, and imo, these boots look stylish enough.
Getting excited now about new boots. Smile
They also come in black OP.

I also got a discount code from voucher codes.co.uk Smile
Wasn't sure about posting rules on here, but saved £4.50 delivery charge.

SelfieADay · 16/02/2017 07:50

As amazingly comfy as I'm sure they are I can't quite bring myself to spend my money on anything Hotter. Those Lotty ones aren't actually hideous but they don't quite float my boat with that buckle.
