Makeup storage and organisation

Hello, fellow fans and junkies.

I once had a beautiful dressing table set up, covered with perfectly organised and YouTube worthy storage. Since DCs and lack of space, everything had been popped into clear makeup bags which live under the bed apart from one small basket for day to day stuff to wear when I can be bothered.

How do you store yours? Pictures too to make me jealous? . ALSO, what's your most favourite/precious item you own?

That looks really nice Elspeth. Total bargain too, looks much more expensive. Still thinking about getting one for the stuff I don't use all the time and for trips away.

It's too big for trips tbh. But the handle is useful all the same as I discovered today I could just carry the whole thing into the bathroom to do my makeup.

I've started doing that lately. I have a dressing room but the light in the bathroom is better for these dark mornings.

I have mine sorted in glamourliving makeup boxes Glamourcube. Its the acrylic boxes and apparently its top notch acrylic. Its got about 4 drawers and the top bit is taller where I put my foundation and skin toner and stuff there. My brushes I have them stored from this same company aswell its called a brushtidy and its got lots of diferent small sections in it its really cool. They are abit expensive but I love them cos the quality is brilliant. I used to have a muji one with a lift up lid, well that hinge didnt last long! I had to bin the whole thing.

I like yours, Elspeth. There's some serious make up going on here - I don't have that much!

However this weekend I did realise that mine was split between one large and one small toilet bag (both with broken zips) and two wicker baskets at opposite sides of the bedroom. No wonder I can't find anything.

I bought this Mia Tui make up bag. Not exactly bank-breaking, and I got a discount with a code I found on FB. I can't be doing with 'on show' storage as my DD will be helping herself!
