I've been reading the M&S thread where many comments praise Sainsbo's.
If you buy clothes there, what do you buy or recommend?

Their PJs are absolutely brilliant quality and so comfy. I bought three pairs to wear when I came home from the hospital after having DC1. I've just thrown them out six years later, having had DC4, and wearing them on rotation ever since.

I also love their newborn stuff and some of their boys' tops are now serving my fourth son. My kids are the paint / mud / yoghurt type so they really get a battering.

Their school polo tops are also brilliant. My son has a red school uniform and the polo tops are about four for £6 and have held their colour for two years and, best of all, don't need ironing,

I've had quite a lot of decent linen stuff, including a skirt that I got nearly ten years ago which still looks new. They're nice enough quality, but not so pricey that you'd cry if they got spoiled at work.

Leatherboundanddown · 01/02/2017 17:53

The kids school uniform is really good

Andbabymakesthree · 01/02/2017 17:55

I do think the quality has gone downhill recently. Basic pants lasted for ages. This recent set holes has appeared within weeks!

We have a store in either direction both about 30/40 minutes away. Its nice that people often don't have same clothes as each other. However frustrating that i need to pay for delivery and pay to return items unless i opt for store collection. One of the stores doesn't have a fitting room. Stock levels in my size are hit and miss.

Another leggings fan. I've just bought the premium knit tops for work and they are really flattering on an hourglass shape with huge boobs. Great weight to them too.

Longdistance · 01/02/2017 18:09

I've been today.

I bought dd1 a pair of pink leather boots for £7.50, they were originally £25.
Dd2 I got some walking boots for £4.20 originally £14.

For myself I got a LBD for £22, and I'm 5'10" and it's a good length on me.

I save the nectar points for school uniform and their 25% off event. The uniform washes and wears well.

I really pleased with them anyway being a shareholder

NewBallsPlease00 · 01/02/2017 21:31

I bought the baby snow suits, boys joggers and sone toddler tees; all could have come from Zara and were a bargain and fit well!

ladyvimes · 01/02/2017 21:52

Love it. Get loads from sainsburys and their sales are sometimes great. I got a wool coat for £15 reduced from £50 the other day.

Hoppinggreen · 02/02/2017 10:30

They've got a blue leather jacket coming out and I'm very tempted - it's only £95. Quality won't be great but it will be ok I'm sure

BearFoxBear · 04/02/2017 22:13

Collymollypuff thanks for pointing out that skirt, I've just bought it tonight and it's gorgeous on!!

Collymollypuff · 05/02/2017 13:00

Grin You're very welcome.

Thinkingofausername1 · 05/02/2017 20:06

They are good. I like their jeans. However just this last year, their 8's have gone frumpy looking or is it just the fashion tops are baggy??

OutandIn · 05/02/2017 22:31

Not S&B but whilst i agree their clothes are good when they are not a hideous colour (happens a bit too frequently for my liking) their homeware is even better - just as good as John Lewis and much cheaper i think

BIWI · 05/02/2017 22:38

But baggy is fashionable this seasons, innit?

I'm very grateful for that, as I've been able to buy a size 10 that's still too big Grin

littlepooch · 06/02/2017 19:17

Not sure if this has been posted already but I've heard their 25% off everything offer will be some point next week. Just in case people are planning to get anything!

BIWI · 06/02/2017 19:48

Yes, they usually time their 25% off to coincide with school holidays

Tenpastlate · 07/02/2017 10:34

PJs are great, and from their premium range I recently bought a lovely white 100% silk shirt for £30!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/02/2017 14:28

I got a lovely striped grey/white seersucker shirt today 100% cotton.
