Tria anti ageing home laser - it's been amazing for my 40 year old face PICS

I have posted before in response to questions about Tria lasers ( I have the blue light one for acne) but I got the Tria anti ageing one for Christmas.

Honestly it is the single most impactful thing I've done for my skin.

My son really wasn't bad, fine lines and crepiness around the eyes. I've always been good at skincare ( use SPF, proper routine including acid toning and hylauronic acid, retinols etc). I'm fair skinned and freckly.

I've been using my Tria since Xmas ( you do 8 weeks daily on, minimum 4 weeks off) and now am about 5 weeks in.

The difference is really amazing. It's an overall texture thing. The fine lines are minimised, skin texture so even ( putting makeup or skincare on is so different as skin like a smooth canvas) my face looks so plump and youthful. I've had so many compliments.

It absolutely won't get rid of deep wrinkles but it "tricks" your skin into producing collagen. It doesn't make you look like one of those weird frozen "young" faces, it just makes your skin great.

Mine was £300 from Beauty Bay. It was a big investment but seriously worth it.

Yes - you look very refreshed and radiant, but do you have a before pic?

I would want to be sure that wasn't a risk.

The laser doesn't penetrate deep enough to affect the fat layer, it's an at home variation of the fraxel non ablative lasers they use in dermatologists / plastic surgeon office. Real self reviews are useful but prone to abuse like any site.

Essentially you are just moving the laser over your skin. You start at 1 minute, and then build up to 10 mins.

Re before pics, I don't think I do sorry - I wasn't really thinking I would be posting it anywhere to be honest.

Rather personal question but how old are you and is that pic taken on a mobile phone? E.g how many pixels because I look totally unlined on my mobile phone pics.

You cannot compare those two pics, you have no make up on in the before pic and the angle of the photo and lighting will be the single biggest thing that makes a difference, no shadows cast etc. I could take two pics right now of me and depending on lighting and angle look very different. If you know how to do it it's easy.

Both pictures were taken on the same phone, in the same room but at different times of day.

Re the hurting question: it hurts a bit to start with, and your skin feels like it's a little sunburned ( you do it at night) by the morning the redness has gone.

I got used to it very quickly and the pain isn't present at all now.

I had dry skin ( but nothing too bad) at weeks 2/3 and if anything my skin looked a little worse before it looked better.

It's not a quick fix, it's a long term commitment. But on the plus side there is no downtime.

A professional Fraxel session would cost a lot more for just one treatment

I want to stress, I had no intention of posting a review and I may ask for pics to be removed later - I have had great results and if anyone was already thinking of buying one I would encourage them to do so - if it's not for you then don't.!.

I agree - you cannot compare an under the chin, bed head selfie with one where you are all flamed up with make up on and chin tilted for the most flattering angle. Complete with nice lighting

I'm sorry to say, this has made me rather suspicious. How did you get hold of the laser? I presume on the open market rather than any kind of promotion?

Mitten - I was very open about those pics and I didn't take pics to post a review!

Someone asked if I had one and this is all I had - my note acknowledges fully that this is not a direct comparison but it is the most recent face shot I had before using the Tria.

I have no vested interest on whether you buy a Tria or not, it's just been great for me and I am impressed enough to volunteer my view on a style and beauty thread,

Oh come ON, those are ridiculous before and after photos! One you have freshly washed and styled hair,make up and good lighting and photo taken from a flattering angle and the the other you've just woken up by the looks of it and a camera angle that would make anyone look dreadful .

I'm sorry but if I'm to take anything seriously then proper photos are needed.

Thanks poverty, I can understand it as my opening post is very positive.

However I have been at pains to point out that I am just sharing my view, and that the two pictures weren't taken with any intention of using as before or after.

One was just before Christmas, one was last weekend after a haircut.

I'm actually going to ask for the pics to be removed as I feel a little uncomfortable being so identifiable. Unless anyone has any tips.

As I said in my opening post I already had a Tria blue light for my hormonal acne ( off the back of. Sail Hughes review) and so already liked and trusted the brand.
Like any thread here this is a personal rcommendation. it's just my opinion which I thought would be helpful to share.

Calm down miss - it is a matter of fact that these two photos are not comparable due to the difference in lighting etc and the fact that you are wearing make up in one.

It is not unreasonable for posters to point that out

Oh and I'm on "MrsGloss" too. Yes- they would be interested but they would also point out that the variation in conditions mean these are not genuine before and after pictures.

Nobody has acknowledged that, instead I've been roundly got at with incredulity and suspicion.

But I had skin like that at 40 and never used anything except sunscreen.

And the before and after photos are as usual - you are smiling, not tired and better lit in the after so that is the difference.

OP was 1st to suggest the pics weren't comparable.
I can see some definite changes in your mid face area. It's definitely restored some volume there if nowhere else.
