Tria anti ageing home laser - it's been amazing for my 40 year old face PICS

I have posted before in response to questions about Tria lasers ( I have the blue light one for acne) but I got the Tria anti ageing one for Christmas.

Honestly it is the single most impactful thing I've done for my skin.

My son really wasn't bad, fine lines and crepiness around the eyes. I've always been good at skincare ( use SPF, proper routine including acid toning and hylauronic acid, retinols etc). I'm fair skinned and freckly.

I've been using my Tria since Xmas ( you do 8 weeks daily on, minimum 4 weeks off) and now am about 5 weeks in.

The difference is really amazing. It's an overall texture thing. The fine lines are minimised, skin texture so even ( putting makeup or skincare on is so different as skin like a smooth canvas) my face looks so plump and youthful. I've had so many compliments.

It absolutely won't get rid of deep wrinkles but it "tricks" your skin into producing collagen. It doesn't make you look like one of those weird frozen "young" faces, it just makes your skin great.

Mine was £300 from Beauty Bay. It was a big investment but seriously worth it.

please be kind re my pics, I feel a bit unsure about putting them up, but it seemed necessary to my review

You don't owe ME anything, but it's completely disingenuous to post such vastly different photos and say it's all down to a new gadget.

If you'd posted proper comparable pics then believe me I'd order one quick as lightening.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/01/2017 10:02

You do look beautiful in your first pic ,but I scrub up pretty well too with a hair wash and some make up, I currently look like your second pic as I have a cold and am still in my pajamas!

ggirl · 30/01/2017 10:04

well I'm impressed OP

I didn't - I said myself they weren't comparable - I only posted in response to a query asking if I had one...??

was my post below accompanying picture not direct enough>????????

"It's not really a direct comparison as I was poorly and ungroomed, in a different camera angle."

I've asked mumsnet to remove my pictures as apart from anything else I would prefer not to be identifiable.

I acknowledged in my opening post that I had reasonable skin already and briefly detailed my existing skincare regime.

I have repeatedly stated that I never actually envisaged posting any kind of review, and so didn't have perfect before and after shots to do this - so the ones I have are the only recent head shots of me available. I've been honest about this.

If anyone does have any questions I will do my best to answer and help, but would ask that the people inferring I am 'selling' or misleading to back off. I'm not. if you have an issue, take it up with Mumsnet and they will verify my account and posting history.

I will think very carefully about posting any positive reviews unsolicited here in future.

Gordon Bennett! Does no-one read posts before they go on the attack..
Sorry the attack dogs are out OP...thanks for answering my question , I'd never heard of these before

namechange20050 · 30/01/2017 11:12

Hi op, so do you rate the blue light one? I have hormonal acne, am 37 and currently use topical antibiotics to keep it under control.

eyespydreams · 30/01/2017 11:40

Thanks so much for your post OP as have been investigating tria. Can't see your first pic though?

TheFirstMrsDV · 30/01/2017 11:45

awww
I wanted to see the after pic Sad

MN is a veeeeery cynical place miss sorry you feel attacked. Don't take it personally.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/01/2017 11:58

No one was attacking the OP. The two photos were like night and day with regards to setting and lighting and make up.

Nice to see you back Mrs D!Grin

TheFirstMrsDV · 30/01/2017 12:09

Thank you Smile

dame I have said it several times, I fully agree that the pictures aren't a great comparison, and said this from the off. Can't you just recognise that your posts are not taking that into account?

Instead you are using the passive aggressive "okaaaay" comments, and still haven't once acknowledged that I have been transparent in saying myself that I do t have decent comparison pictures.

I'm a human being sitting here reading all this and it's not pleasant, FWIW whilst I can understand a degree of suspicion on such a positive review for one product it's been more uncomfortable to be on the receiving end then I bargained for.

namechange the blue light one has been very helpful for my hormonal acne - treatment with no irritation. Again it takes a while though, not overnight. Mine is relatively mild so can't vouch for severe acne, but there is a sali hughes review that sounds very positive.

I just wonder why you'd post such different photos. Take a pic without all the lighting and make-up. I'm intrigued to compare them and see the differences. I love all things gadgety and beauty,I'm a proper sheep.

I'm sorry you feel attacked but it's ok to question the differences in the photos.

missfliss · 30/01/2017 12:57

Ok, well I can answer that.

I posted this morning on my early train to the office, so I'm afraid I just used the pictures I had to hand on my iPad rather than taking some especially. In terms of makeup though all that is actually on my skin is moisturiser, loose powder and some cheek tint. I was multitasking on my commute and just wanted to share my news. I don't think I've ever actually reviewed anything on S&B but I have posted for advice.

If I had my time again I might be tempted to post a specially taken no-makeup shot and maybe I will this evening when I am home and able to- however in all honesty its left a bit of a sour taste.

My honest opinion is this - it's a lot of money to spend on a gadget. I dithered for a long time and read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube. I love S&B but there wasn't much info on it here about this, and being a high cost device, i thought I'd post mine in case any ditherers wanted a mumsnet opinion rather than the wider Internet.

For me it's been worthwhile. My skin has improved noticeably and for me it's been great. My expectations weren't to achieve a lineless poreless face but to have more even skin tone and texture and plumpness. It has done that and some more ( smoothness and lightening of scars and age spots too).

So in conclusion, for me it's absolutely been worth it - those were my priorities to address in getting one and it was my Christmas present from a reluctant husband.

Even he however has said that my skin is looking great and much younger and he is as cynical as they come.
