What do you weigh, what is your body shape and what style or cut of clothes do you feel best in?

I'm struggling to loose my mum tum post baby so am more of a barrel shape now but with large breasts and hips but skinny legs. I am lost!

I'm 5'2" and a 1/2 (the half is important!) and weight 8st, size 8.

OP like you I have a larger top half and skinny legs. Tend to wear skinny jeans with tops that skim over top half. Or dresses that fit close at the top but flare out or skim on bottom half.

I've found wearing tight clothes top and bottom accentuates the disparity between bigger top and skinny legs, compared to wearing one half tighter and other looser.

However I am also baffled because I am only around a size 16 - I can easily fit into a 12 or 14 in some shops. Is is vanity sizing?

Yes, there's tons of vanity sizing. I've said I'm a 14 but that's a 1990s 14, I fit into a 12 in most of the places I shop and sometimes into a 10. My Mum is in her 70s and thinks she's a 12 although I'd hazard a guess at 16 or 18 when you compare her to me, vanity sizing gets worse on more mature clothing ranges.

You might all find www.mybodygallery.com interesting, at 5'3" you have to be right at the bottom of the healthy range before you look media approved slim' I think.
