On the subject of handbags, fossil?

Hot off the heels of the radley thread are fossil considered naff or fashionable ? i'd love a mulberry but overpriced IMO. Bear in mind I don't consider myself fashionable, have several radley bags (which I think are slightly naff but excellent practically), but am "only" 38 so don't want to stray into middle aged territory just yet.

There is a bag I want, so waiting for the mumsnet jury. Will try and post a link!

I dislike Radley but have a Fossil bag and I frequently get positive comments on it. More than any other bag I've had actually.

I was sorely tempted by a couple of lovely Fossil bags in the onboard shop when we did our cruise in September but sat on hands and didn't buy (polishes halo!). Never really looked at them before, but they were lovely quality and were really reasonable, even without the onboard discount. Definitely a brand to look for next time.

I absolutely love fossil handbags. There is always a brilliant deal to be had in their outlet stores too.

The only fossil bag I had, the leather peeled off the strap, so I wasn't overly impressed. The bag itself was lovely though.

I'm in love with the Scout Hobo in Oxblood. I have a coach bag and purse already and the quality is excellent, amazing for these prices.

I have a Fossil bag and it still looks pristine after 2 years daily use. i would definitely recommend them.

Love Fossil. I have a Preston Flap in burgundy which is my favourite, a Julia perforated leather satchel in tan, and a Mimi satchel in black and white stripe.

I had a fantsatic tan leather fossile bag, like a saddle-bag style. I used it every single day for three years and it still looked exactly the same (although the lining got ripped eventually), I only replaced it because I needed a bigger bag but it was brilliant quality and only about £100.

I dunno if I'm trendy or not but I'm not middle aged (am 30) and I love fossil. A lot of my friends have them. IME they are good quality / stay looking good too

I had never heard of them but liked the one I bought in John Lewis - leather, seaweed blue-green colour. Am very pleased with it.

I'm 33 and aim for a sort of feminine elegant look. Like a blonde Kate Middleton. But fatter, obvs.
