Hot off the heels of the radley thread are fossil considered naff or fashionable ? i'd love a mulberry but overpriced IMO. Bear in mind I don't consider myself fashionable, have several radley bags (which I think are slightly naff but excellent practically), but am "only" 38 so don't want to stray into middle aged territory just yet.

There is a bag I want, so waiting for the mumsnet jury. Will try and post a link!

I'm 31 and love fossil bags. They are great quality and reasonably priced.

I had a Fossil bag (from John Lewis so definitely legit) and all the stitching gave way and the colour of the leather faded badly within a year so I personally wouldn't. Mind you I am Death The Destroyer of Handbags - I can bring any reputable branded bag to its knees in a year, which is why I've never contemplated spending big bucks on a proper designer one.

My DP gave me a beautiful fossil bag last year and it looked shit by about May. I was really disappointed- and I have quite a few designer bags, so am used to a certain level of quality. He also bought me a purse from there which fell apart too. It's not a brand I would subsequently recommend, sorry. Plus their customer service when I went in to complain was to basically shrug.
