Fucking hell.

addle · 25/12/2016 23:30

Oh no. I loved them when they were young - wham rap - boys in leather kits, girls in pearls. Am v sad

Cremolafoam · 25/12/2016 23:33

And George Michael. 😳

Cremolafoam · 25/12/2016 23:34

Dismayed.

Stropperella · 26/12/2016 00:22

Ahh, poor George. :(

Had a nice little Christmas, just the 4 of us and my dm, who issued cooking instructions. Which was just as well, as I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Still it all came together in the end. And everyone was in a good mood all day. In fact, everyone was delightful. And dd produced ridiculously large heaps of presents for everyone. Which was very sweet, but makes me worry for her bank balance.

CV, that bag is lush!

BD, hope there was a nice big bow on the deck and bi-fold doors. Dh bought me some mudflaps for my car. GrinGrin

Love to all the Crepeys xxx

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/12/2016 08:04

CV - great bag. Am planning to head to the Coach sales when I've been paid.

How is everyone this morning? I still feel stuffed. But no hangover. Christmas seemed remarkably stress free without my mother. I hope the hotel in Bournemouth (or wherever it was) was so wildly festive with such amazing food and entertainment that she will want to go back next year.

DD2 and I had a film marathon thanks to the Amazon fire stick. Suspect it will continue today.

motherinferior · 26/12/2016 08:14

Off to friends' for lunch later but a Ladyjog now. Feel like a dog that hasn't been taken for a walk. And am privately convinced there are minor inaccuracies in my India visa and will still get rejected.

motherinferior · 26/12/2016 08:16

Also vv touched by the thought the Inferiorettes put into my Christmas presents. DD1 even forced the boyf into JL to buy me a little pair of earrings.

bigTillyMint · 26/12/2016 08:21

Lovely bag CV.

Too right, MrsS re your DM - glad you had a good time.

Trying to get everything we need to take for DS together for 2 days - don't think it was this complicated when he was a baby.
Spoke to DM yesterday - not sure if she knew who we were and she couldn't hold any sort of conversation. Not looking forward to that visit tomorrow!

hattymattie · 26/12/2016 08:52

Addle - I loved the Wham Rap and Young Guns as well - w Pepsi and Shirley doing their useless dancing and George and Andrew sexily attired in leather or as airline pilots. Happy days Smile.

Had a quite Christmas - DH vaguely better. We are going to walk in the forest as desperately need to get out. Cannot sleep for twitchy legs.

Absolutely love bag CV.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/12/2016 09:12

DH has come out in a rash. I told him it was all the bad in him, coming out. Xmas Grin

Blackduck · 26/12/2016 09:23

MrsS you are mean :)

motherinferior · 26/12/2016 10:02

I have made a fabulously murky split-pea soup using the liquid in which DP cooked the Christmas Eve ham. It is a Nigella thing - just cook the peas through in it. I added a bit of finely chopped shallot as it was lurking in the freezer. That's dinner sorted.

Rosebag · 26/12/2016 10:41

MI how do you have time....you are off away tomorrow!!!

Does he have a portrait in the loft MrsS ? Xmas Grin

George Michael...to die of heart failure at 53 these days is tragic. I didn't like his recent stuff but Careless Whisper is possibly the most iconic slow dance number of all time.

How are the poorly Crepeys?

I ache. Pain killers have been taken. A lovely party here, last night with BFFs family and I'm so happy that all the Xmas lunch leftovers have been consumed. Much love and laughter, reminiscing etc and lovely to have their DC and our DC all together. Today the gluttony continues with breakfast brunch on the seafront...with same crowd plus BFFs Dsis and BiL...we all grew up together....

tilly Flowers

motherinferior · 26/12/2016 12:02

Rose, I chucked split peas into the liquor and let' em boil! Am feeling faintly guilty at how little I've done towards this Christmas although to be fair I've sorted pretty well every birthday.

herbaceous · 26/12/2016 12:06

Morning crepissimi. Glad your big days all went well. Quite a relief once it's over, is it not. Mum phoned while we were in the taxi to IGs, so I confessed we were going out for lunch. Long conversation about which precise jumper I wanted for Christmas, as she was on the website. Picked up a voicemail later, asking me exactly the same question. Sigh.

Had gastrointestinal issues of some ferocity in the middle of the night, but as it was only me presume it wasn't food poisoning but just a reaction to the sheer gluttony and quantity of booze consumed. However, I'm forever grateful I didn't partake of the gallons of rum punch brought along, or the post-prandial champagne cocktails.

MontserratCaballe · 26/12/2016 12:33

Sorry to hear of your tummy trouble, Herbs. Well done on skipping the cocktails, though. I ate for Britain yesterday and had to have a sleep and a few pints of water in the afternoon to set me up for the evening session. Am now picking at cheese to make my straining jeans even tighter. Hm.

Thank you so much to my lovely Santa for the most beautiful Christmas decorations and aromatherapy treat. They are exactly what I would have chosen for myself and I love them.

I need to tidy up, put a wash on etc - perhaps a little glass of prosecco would make it easier. I will carry on with the festive diet today but soup and water beckon for tomorrow before I actually burst.

Happy Boxing Day, crepissimi xx

CointreauVersial · 26/12/2016 13:40

Stuck at Dartford Crossing; we were due at Dsis's about ten minutes ago and are nowhere near (Woking!). Troops are variously hungry, hungover and needing the toilet.

Hit the port with DB last night and put the world to rights - he was on great form.

NUFC69 · 26/12/2016 13:44

Sorry for those suffering from gluttony Grin - this Christmas has been very abstemious for me: no alcohol at all and no over eating (I have not recovered my appetite yet). We had the most wonderful day yesterday, so much so that we all decided that we would decamp to DS's every Christmas Day in future. They have an enormous living kitchen, so even when prep was going on every one seemed included. Just a lovely, happy day, not even spoiled when over tired DGC had mini tantrums.

Thank you to my SS, loved the picture n the tea towel which I think possibly outed you. I had some really thoughtful presents from the family yesterday and am lolling around feeling very blessed.

Good luck with your preparations for travel, MI, and fingers crossed for a good couple of days, BTM.

Collymollypuff · 26/12/2016 16:21

Oh wow, that takes me right back to ds' days as a train enthusiast! Well done to y'all for putting all the bits together! What a bloody bargain - well done for finding it - such a devoted mother.

Forgot to say a HUGE thank you to my Secret Satan - spot on present - and very generous of you whoever you are - have hidden my delicious dark chocolate from the marauding hoardes and shall consume secretively - possibly while mning... Lovely.
Dull day here - but in a nice way...
Wishing you a fabulous trip MI - have an adventurous adventure and enjoy being away from the daily grind.
Mrs S - has all the badness come out of dh yet? Perhaps he's allergic to Christmas? Or perhaps it was an excess of mince pies?
Hope all the troublesome teens are behaving themselves - mine are lolling around, occasionally leaping into action to eat more food.
Herbs, your pic of ds made me smile and have a little sniff - I remember when my boys were happily absorbed in train sets...

magimedi · 26/12/2016 19:57

Bon voyage, MI.

Look forward to hearing all about it.

The sun still shines here and it is light until 6.30pm....

I feel better than I have done for a long time.
