Hair disaster - please advise

I have black hair (a little grey).
I normally have a black gloss/tint.
I discussed with my hairdresser, i'd like a subtle blue/black possibly just on the ends. We agreed not to use bleach (although she pointed out the results would be subtle without). I was fairly happy with the result although you couldn't see much (if any blue) but it looked dark and glossy.
This morning, it's obviously mid brown on the ends (and a bit ginger in sunlight!).

I'm going to call in the morning. On my receipt, I have been charged for a 'toner' as well as a tint, googled this and says normally used when dying blonde hair. So not sure should have been used on my hair?

Please can anyone advise, feel very upset.

Worried hair has been damaged. Also don't really have the time to go back for any correction and also hate the thought of confrontation and it cost £100!

DH of course thinks its hysterical!

Well I just called in, they said looks like needs more colour but need to speak to who did it first and she's not in until tomorrow. Tried to persist but got nowhere , not at all apologetic and said she'd 'probably' call tomorrow!
Ends feel rough today - so naffed off 😕

That's not very good of them.
Don't let that put you off of going tomorrow

You would be within your rights to ask someone else to put it right (for free) if you do not feel you could trust the original stylist - you paid the salon - so your contract is with them.

It's probably best to ring the salon yourself tomorrow and get this sorted.

It's so awkward making a complaint but persevere, you are right to ask them to remedy their mistake. Really disappointing response though, I would go elsewhere after this fiasco.

I've tried to call them twice and they are not answering the phone which is really unusual !
