Hello,

I seem to have ended up with lots of odd bits of bed linen and I want lots of nice new sets as we've lots of family staying over Christmas 🎄

What other options are there apart from The White Company? Or are they really the go to?

Thank you!

Hello, this thread is a little old and the links are out of date. Take a look at this handy page for a round up of Mumsnetters’ favourite bed sheets.

I have the Cornish Stripe one! Really thick and lovely. Pillows aren't included tho ...sigh.

H&M 100% linen range here. I have a blue one and a pale grey one. They wash well and soften up quickly.

justlinen.co.uk also stock Sheridan at good prices - they're part of the online operation of a small chain of department stores up north.

We've bought a fair bit of M&S recently, my favourite is the 400 thread count plain dye, especially if you can get it on offer.

Funkin Do h and m do kingsize duvet sets? I could only see doubles when i had a quick look.

Honeyandfizz · 08/12/2016 21:39

I've recently bought a Soak & Sleep linen duvet cover & pillowcases. Can confirm they are lovely Smile

Follyfoot · 08/12/2016 21:50

I bought Soak and Sleep bedding and it was a bit of a disaster. One of the pillowcases had a sticky grey mark on it. I sent them a photo, and said I would wash it to see if it came out (it was as if some sticky tape had been on the pillowcase). When the mark didnt come out, they wanted the pillowcase back before they would send a replacement.By the time they processed the return, the pillowcases were out of stock so they refunded me instead. So now I have a king size duvet cover with one matching pillowcase. I wouldnt use them again.

FunkinEll · 08/12/2016 22:24

Bringmetea yes, mines king size. I just googled the uk king size measurements so I knew which option to choose, they come under the double icon where you can choose different sizes.

BringMeTea · 09/12/2016 05:55

Thanks Funkin. Just out of stock then. Will keep an eye out. It may just be an affordable alternative to the soakandsleep.

Karcheer · 09/12/2016 11:43

Thank you, just ordered everything from soak and sleep.

John Lewis is the best as far as I'm concerned.

I second the H&M linen range, so nice! La Redoute has nice washed linen bedding and if you wait for their 40% off offer, it's very reasonable. My White Company Egyptian cotton bedding is still going strong after many years, it is a pain to iron though as it creases easily. I had some bed linen and bedding from Soak and Sleep and I would not buy from them again. Their customer service is rubbish too. TK MAXX is also fantastic for bedding and towels.
