Are these nice boots?

I love them, saw them in Schuh earlier and almost bought them. Zip up side. I'm a size 8 to 10 and wear lots of make up and stuff if that helps?

Are these nice boots?

Really? I'd just wear them with jeans on a day to day basis.

Turbinaria · 03/12/2016 13:54

I doubt any Victorian prostitute would have worn them unless she kept her shoes on while on the job. They look a pig to put on and take off. If you're a goth or into the steam punk look then they're perfect

Aderyn2016 · 03/12/2016 14:07

I quite like them but they are going to end on your calf, which is not the most flattering unless you have amazing legs.

PNGirl · 03/12/2016 14:16

No. They're not even victoriana-ish because of the chunky thread sole. Girls used to wear similar when I was in 6th form with silk tassley combats on top!

DashboardLightParadise · 03/12/2016 14:22

I like them but I do have more of an alternate style.

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 14:23

They do have a zip

But that seems to be the only redeeming feature. My 'style' is make up (subtle, Bobbi Brown) bobbed grey hair and not really victoriana, goth or steam punk. More LabelLab, grey, black, loose firmtting lurpy stuff.

I love them, but couldn't wear that heel!

Revealall · 03/12/2016 14:34

They'll be in a sale soon ( pre Christmas, Boxing Day ,New Year.) Buy them then.

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 18:43

Oooh good idea about the sale. So far £160 at Timberland and £145 Office and Schuh.
I feel like I need them now. Although I felt like that with the cape dress and that is just a sad black piece of material I've never worn.

RedStripeIassie · 03/12/2016 18:45

Yes, I love them. All about the Victorian hooker boot Xmas Wink.

BusterGonad · 03/12/2016 18:49

Any chance of a picture of said dress?

Destinysdaughter · 03/12/2016 18:54

I like them but I love that style anyway! If they suit your style then go for them. Fashion is so pick n mix these days, I don't think it really matters any more. Just be yourself and enjoy it OP! 👠💃❤️

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 19:10

Buster I will oblige in the morning

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 19:13

So this is not me.

I look TERRiBLE in it as I forget I am no longer a gorgeous young person

WellErrr · 03/12/2016 19:21

I do love the idea of wearing a cape.

BusterGonad · 03/12/2016 19:24

That dress is gorgeous, now I feel like I know a bit more about you I say buy the boots! Grin

SpeckledyBanana · 03/12/2016 19:25

I like those boots. I had some a bit like them in the 90s and I wore them everywhere, with everything.

Sadly I don't have any spare cash right now or I'd be tempted.

SpeckledyBanana · 03/12/2016 19:25

But then I like that dress, too.

Revealall · 03/12/2016 19:31

Those boots scream sale stock though.

Nothing will spoil buying something, quicker than knowing it has gone in the 70% off sale ( and they so will).

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 19:34

Argh do they? I love the dress too. I keep trying to wear it and then being all despairing at my ancient age .

OP posts:
Destinysdaughter · 03/12/2016 19:54

OP I don't think anyone really suit capes. ( apart from witches...) 😱

ZaZathecat · 03/12/2016 22:50

I love a Victorien boot although they're a bit high for me.

MrTCakes · 03/12/2016 22:56

I love them and want them!

PinkiePiesCupcakes · 03/12/2016 23:00

I love those boots.
The dress is also nice.
But the boots are gorgeous.

JohnCheese · 03/12/2016 23:34

Nope. Not for me. At all.

DEFINITELY wait for the sale - they'll be in it for sure.
