The BEST lip balm ever!

Disclaimer: I don't work for them! I just wanted to share, after following a recommendation on here, that Nuxe reve de Miel lip balm is the best I've ever used! My daughter and I have awful chapped lips, this sorted it almost overnight. I'm so pleased! Free delivery on their website too!

Well the bloody buggers - why do all the good things go?

MrsderPunkt · 30/11/2016 11:44

(sorry, that was in response to the death of the cocoa butter lip balm news)

MrsMeeseeks · 30/11/2016 12:10

Lanolips/Lansinoh is the only lip balm for me. Anything highly scented, medicated or petroleum-based dries my lips out. Lanolin lasts much longer than anything else I've found, so you don't have to keep reapplying it.

MackerelOfFact · 30/11/2016 12:46

Those of you who have recurrent dry lips, it might be worth swapping your toothpaste for a while and seeing if that helps. I'm allergic (paradoxically) to a lot of the 'sensitive' toothpastes (which is less weird than it sounds because they are designed to act to stop sensitivity rather than be gentle, if that makes sense).

It took me an absolute age to figure out the cause, but Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief in particular really screws my lips up for about 3 weeks after use.

insertcleverusername · 30/11/2016 12:50

Another lansinoh fan here: you get a great big tube and barely need to use any at all, so it lasts forever.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 30/11/2016 14:29

Lanolips here too. The red tinted one ( Apple) is gorgeous. I can't get on with petroleum based balms. I tried the Nuxe one and it's ok but I wasn't sold on the texture. I want to like Carmex but the camphor smell makes me boak.

Howdidthathappen1 · 30/11/2016 14:40

I've just discovered THE best lip balm!
Smiths rosebud salve. It's American - got mine from eBay after a recommendation when I was desperate and willing to try anything. My god it works! Sinks in quickly and properly moisturises. Not cheap just as it from USA - £8.50 for small tube but I'm converted

BagelGoesWalking · 30/11/2016 14:40

Haven't tried them yet, but I want to try these. I've had a few other products, cleansers and creams, and really like them.

LaLaLolly · 30/11/2016 15:32

Tried them all.

  • Nuxe for the evening/night
  • Lucas Paw Paw for Summer/Beach
  • Smiths is ok and has a nice sheen
  • Hurraw Moonbalm for ANY occasion - it's amazing.
ChickenVindaloo2 · 30/11/2016 15:53

I don't like lanolips or any of the ones that are too hard to get out the tube.

If Australian Gold came in a tinted SPF version, I'd buy a million.

Bauble16 · 30/11/2016 15:55

I swear by carmex

Greenglassteacup · 30/11/2016 17:06

I like rose and co rose petal salve

weeblueberry · 30/11/2016 17:28

Lush Buttered Brazils is my favourite lip balm ever. It's very firm so hard to get out but wowza it's fab once it's on.

MrsMeeseeks · 05/12/2016 10:30

Just a heads up that Lanolips is buy one get one free in Boots at the moment!

I got the lemonade one and the pink-tinted rhubarb one. Smile

IJustLostTheGame · 05/12/2016 11:12

Palmers lip balm thingy.
It's brilliant.

FunkinEll · 05/12/2016 12:37

I agree OP, it'a the best ever. It is agreat texture and works very well. I use it before bed every night. I find the pot better than the stick but I have a stick for out and about.

I can't stand any of the petrolium based ones and I can smell the sheep in the lanolin based ones Envy
