WWW's six week 10 year younger boot camp (lite) WEEK 1A, half term

WideWebWitch · 11/02/2007 13:17

Hello, ok, this is week 1a of 10yy boot camp lite for those who want to go off the rails a bit over half term or to ease themselves into this plan slowly.

Then next Sunday I will start week 1 proper and we'll continue for another six weeks. So if you join now you're in for seven weeks but an easy first week.

And here's a nice piece about older women I think although you don't have to be 'older' to join, everyone's welcome.

The usual rules are:

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times. I know it's winter, there are still rays trying to damage your skin
  • No or little booze. The odd glass of wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can, I am booking out lunch hours where possible to do this
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible. I am doing my heels daily too as they're lizard like
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

You don't have to report back every day but I almost certainly will as it motivates me thinking someone is watching me.

For results so far have a look at last weeks thread, plenty of looking good and feeling better

Welcome all members old and new.

I've been crap. Am very grumpy about my cold sore, now have Zovirax on it. Had 2.5 sausages and a piec of bread and some fresh anchovies for lunch and about to put my wellies on and go for a walk and to jump in some puddles with dd.

Oh yes, Vinopolis, walked past there when dh and I had our anniversary w/e in December and thought of you lot. Def on for April.

O me miserum! Terrible pain - can't even bear DC to kiss me better. Am on antibiotics for the week and my Doc reckoned will need them for three weeks after that. Bleurgh.

Hardly eaten anything. No exercise. It's half term and we had lots of things planned too.

Monkeytrousers · 12/02/2007 17:12

Have been quite good.

Toast for breakfast
Home made cauliflower cheese for lunch
Home made veggie, lentil and quinoa soup for tea.

DP has just come in moaning at me but I'm not going to comfort eat!

I keep forgetting to drink lots of water. Does it really help and/or make a difference to your skin?

CAMy · 12/02/2007 17:56

Water, yes.

piscesgirl · 12/02/2007 20:44

Hi WWW ! What a great way to keep motivated by sharing your plan on MN. I am gonna try to take up your 10 years younger routine. Am currently suffering with the mother of all colds and feeling very sorry for myself. Hopefully if I wake up tomorrow feeling better I will start then !! Well will start by having an early night !

Crap night
PE Margherita, peas, 2 garlic and herb pitta bread with melted cheese and french mustard
Chablis
70% cocoa chocolate
no exercise
not enough water
but on happiness quotient watched Desperate Housewives and Battlestar Galactica and Lost, very enjoyable.

I'm determined to do a 2.5 miles walk again today though
Cold sore is on the wane although still there

Welcome new people!

how lovely a Liz Earle shop ... bliss Was thinking of treating myself to something new from LE as a reward for losing weight.

Batters have a lovely time in Paris.

I've just eaten a choc chip cookie and not only do I feel guilty (didn't want it, didn't need it, it was just there!) I also now feel sick. Maybe my body is going to simply reject all things crap from now on.
ho hum it's the first time in weeks I've eaten something for all the wrong reasons and without any thought. The reason I have a weight problem is that I am used to doing that on a daily basis so in a way it's progress

winnie · 13/02/2007 16:00

www, I've just realised you are going away too. Have a lovely time

at Sobernow, something's working there girl!

Dh gave me a beautiful bunch of red roses this evening for V-day tomorrow, one for each year we've been married, aahh.

Batters and www hope you both have a lovely break.

Today walked along seafront with dd and her playmate, ate small lunch and tiny breakfast.

Am getting hair cut tomorrow, will not drink tonight (but will tomorrow night).

Have a nice evening everyone

yoyo · 13/02/2007 19:30

Oh the wonders of antibiotics as I can now taste and smell again. To celebrate my pain-free day I have shared a slice of carrot cake and had Chinese and Indian for supper (hard to please everyone in our house!). Also had some beer which is apparently okay with the pills (have checked). Am going to watch ER tonight as was in bed very early last night.

Have drank loads of water and walked a fair bit although at a rather leisurely pace. Soaked my body in lotion this morning. Aim to read this evening too so will have fared very well on the happiness score.

Have a great time all of you who are going away.

Hi folks. Ate out yesterday lunchtime as mummy-headgirl was 83!! Quite a virtuous salmon risotto was followed by an unnecessary but lovely pecan tart . Today tho have started well with grapefruit and toast for breakfast and I plan to drink my water and do some exercise later. Happy Valentines everyone - my friend sent me a "text rose" here's one for you all from me
