Just looking for some inspiration really as I know a lot of you like a challenge!

Its a formal but not posh do.
Don't want to wear a hat.
Am size 10 and 5'6"

Dd will be almost 10. She's tall and slim. Not girly girly, more into combats and T-shirts but will wear a skirt. Definitely no fru-fru

The wedding is in June. Am really excited as I didn't think any more of my friends were going to bother with marriage!

Help please!

Cheers Cod. I'm going away for a few days from tomorrow but have until the end of this month to buy something, so keep the links coming tomorrow and I'll report back on Wednesday or Thursday!

Cod - I lurve those Boden shoes (but have never spent that amount on footwear before!) and also the Phase Eight dress (the orangey swirly one). Really feel like making a statement (I was fat and frumpy at school and now I'm not so want to make an impression)

Sorry cod... had to go and (a) deal with poorly child (not that poorly 'I think I might be sick' = 'I feel rubbish and I want some sympathy', but I wasn't taking any chances!) and (b) eat food that dh had cooked while he thought I was working (and was really looking at wedding clothes!)

Anyway... I LOVE the spotty number. I would say that it's not my 'usual style' (insofar as I have one). Usual style would be more plain darkish colours and ... yawn... you get the idea. But I really really love it. Love that it has sleeves (Bingo wings hidden? Check!). Oh, and have just checked out the Principles mac too. [Over-excited emoticon]

God, you are bloody good at this.... I shall get me to Meadowhall forthwith avec credit card. I will report back!!

Thanks for your help.

... in an unaccustomedly stylish sort of a way!

auntymandy · 12/02/2007 06:38

Thanks for all the links..will have a look through them all. Thanks for the offer of the dress too, but i am not overly tall and about a 16 and a huge bump!!!

Ellbell · 12/02/2007 12:31

Perhaps not then, auntymandy. It'd be OK for a 16 probably as it's very forgiving, but you do need the height. I am 5'6" and it's LOOOONG on me! Looked really good on my friend who's about 5'10"! Hope you find something.
