I've wanted to treat myself to a leather jacket from all saints. Now I see they have 20% off and don't know which to pick.

I was thinking cargo but now I don't know. If you have one which one and how do you wear it/what with?

I'm 40 slim 8/10 tall. I generally wear jeans converse t-shirts (mum uniform).

There was a thread on here a few years ago about All Saints refusing to refund someone (an in store purchase I think) and merely offering an exchange. Online purchase might be different but best bet would be to order through John Lewis or House of Fraser so that you're sure of a refund if you change your mind.

All online stores have to offer a refund policy under the distance selling regulations and that includes All Saints, although it is only 14 days from purchase. What you can't do is return to a store for a refund, they will only offer you an exchange that way as their stores do not offer general refunds.

I have to say I find All Saints excellent for delivery and refunding money. They are one of the fastest. I've actually had the money back in my account two days after posting things back. Actually their customer service helpline is great too, 24hrs, and they'll track down items not available for you very happily.

I haven't had any problem with All Saints refunds/delivery either.

(oh, and I have a Cargo, which I love to bits.)

You lot are a bad influence. I bouth the Bales at 20% off and it arrived yesterday. It's fab. Size 10 is just about okay (I think a 12 would be too big) and I can fit a shirt underneath it. First outing last night to the pub. The leather is absolutely gorgeous, soft and thick.

Many moons ago I got my leather jacket from Topshop. They might only do pleather now, but worth a look. The leather has aged wonderfully and is timeless enough that I've been wearing it for the last 7 years. I've got a size 8 petite. I'm 5ft 3 and found that leather jackets tended to be too bulky and sit wrong. By getting the petite mine hits my hips, looking cropped enough. (In the normal range it flapped about at the wrong length) It also fits slim enough on my arms. I also roll / push the sleeves up so its 3/4 length. Should also add, that while I do have narrow shoulders, I wouldn't normally wear petite clothes as they tend to be cut for straighter figures than mine. It might be worth playing with petite or long ranges to see if the length is more flattering by choosing a size you wouldn't normally wear.

Mine has arrived (Papin). I'm not sure. It's lovely and soft, really well made. It's a gorgeous jacket. But the arms feel too bulky and slightly tight. Which is probably just because of the new leather as my arms aren't big. The bulky-ness though...they look wider than I'd like too and the body isn't as fitted as I want. The buckles on the sides keep catching on the arms as well. Less hardware, more fitted, less padding and quilting on the arms.

Ah I think I just talked myself into sending it back. Balls. Sad I really want to love it but for £300 there are too many bits that aren't quite right for me.

Good length though. Just above hip bone so not too cropped. (5ft6, hourglass, size 10, if that helps anyone else) Like the shape of the back.

Oh Enid sorry to hear that.... but have you seen some of the jackets now have 40% off?! Worry a look! I tried the wyatt ink blue on and fell in love with it. The blue is better on me that black and even though I thought I didn't want the cropped or buckles it just looks the best out of them all (I ended up trying them all on). As others have said you really do need to try to see what suits. I would never have gone for a buckle at the waist at all normally.

Ooh no, I hadn't spotted that, thanks!

I definitely prefer cropped but now know I want less hardware and possibly no buckles at the waist, although the one I had now (my old one) has buckles and they've never been a problem. Think this might be something I can't just buy online.
