Hi I am CoolToned and I'm an addict.

I have several leather jackets - they look very similar - and yet I catch myself looking at new ones online.

The first step is admitting that there is a problem.

Who else is with me?

Leather Jackets Anonymous confession over Blush

SoyYo · 06/09/2016 20:54

ellie the Marant is awesome if you can carry it off it would swamp me as I'm petite
The AllSaints reminds me of one of my old biker riding jackets (not fashion) Nice!

SoyYo · 06/09/2016 21:01

Mrs9C the Next one is worth a try depends on how you'd like it to fit, I like mine close fitted, and can carry off black (but not camel shades, any camel shade washes me out despite me trying a couple and giving up as I looked quite sick)
But return unless it makes you feel fabulous AND it's really really soft leather as stiff leather takes a LONG time to wear in

SoyYo · 06/09/2016 21:05

Dave lovely AllSaints I don't own a bitter choc shade one yet and that one is very tempting
I try and buy at sale price and no problem with a new one from eBay either...thanks for sharing

Is pine green a good colour?

Not sure if it will suit me though as I am, well, cool-toned.

cool lovely unusual shade check out House of Colours website to see if you can carry it off?

SoyYo · 06/09/2016 21:33

Sorry for no link I'm no expert on colours but have visited that website (google it?) might help determine if that shade of green is right for you
I'm in the middle of cooking omelettes for a very late dinner sorry I can't help more

CoolToned · 06/09/2016 21:51

SoyYo - I was in the middle of cooking an omelette for breakfast when I read your post! (Australia here)

www.thechicfashionista.com/your-best-perfect-colors.html

This might help you determine (high level at least?) whether you'd suit forest green but sometimes I think this colour analysis is a bit of a "dark art" anyway...I think the shade is beautiful and very unusual

SoyYo · 06/09/2016 22:13

Very unusual for a leather jacket!

ElaeudanlaTeiteia · 08/09/2016 14:31

I'm very surprised to read Elau didn't find Muubaas soft, mine at least are really soft for the price point

I know, I don't get it either, everyone else seems to rave about them! I like a lot of their styles but reluctant to try another one, as my liking for leather is aaaallllll about the softness and the tactileness. One of them (I think it was called Kendyll) I do like and wear a lot, it's useful and looks good with lots of outfits, if it was soft like my All Saints coat I'd full-on love it Grin

CoolToned · 09/09/2016 01:30

Good or not?

The colour is supposedly blue

CoolToned everyone looks good in different jackets, go for it, try it, see if it's you.

I bought another! It's almost identical to one I already have, it's a superdry megan - was actually available in 2014, but it appeared on their eBay store. I have the same one with shearling, I get so so many compliments on it, it's very me, not bikery and no metal on it. It's the matte black version of it, can't wait till it comes.

JanetStWalker · 10/09/2016 01:02

There was very definite autumnal chill in the air today, needless to say 'the one' had a welcome outing today Wink

CoolToned · 10/09/2016 01:28

Janet

I'm envious! It's spring here in Australia so many months before I can wear my leather jacket :(

Husband actually asked me earlier, (coz I was decluttering) "did the jacket you ordered came?"

He's referring to my BLK DNM jacket I ordered.

Me: "yes"

Him: You just never wore them?

Me: "yes, it's Spring!"

He was probably thinking then why did you buy it, but was smart enough not to ask out loud :P

That's not my picture by the way.

RebelAllianceUK · 13/05/2017 10:44

Vestiaire Collective has a fabulous selection of biker jackets...second hand balmain, balenciaga, burberry etc.

I've not purchased from there myself, but have certainly put the hours in browsing Smile

CoolToned I am also cool toned (deep winter) and have an amazing one in racing green / pine green. I looks much less harsh on me than black and is really versatile.

SuckingEggs · 13/05/2017 15:48

I have a black one from Whistles and also an olive green/grey one from there.

A burgundy one from oasis that was my first "tester" leather.

And a chocolate one from Ted Baker.

All lovely. I'm a huge fan of them and their versatility.

AteRiri · 14/05/2017 21:48

Thanks, Rebel! Will be on the look out for pine green :)

How about this one - yes?

AteRiri · 14/05/2017 21:50

Sorry the pic wasn't added!
