you mean you didn't moisturise daily?

huh.

i moisturise after showering every night.

then again the morning, a scented lotion.

i also body brush nightly.

how else is your self-tanner supposed to go on if you're not exfoliating as well?

nailpolish · 29/01/2007 15:01

I have a routine for body moisturising.

I do it twice a year on the 2 days before I go on holiday.

Obviously it's totally ineffective, but it's a routine.

HuwEdwards · 29/01/2007 15:04

have time only to slap face moituriser on - don't your clothes cling?

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:06

I have really dry skin, and I do moisturise every night after my shower.

And in the morning a scented one and then perfume, because I don't hold a scent well.

lol smileyspeople

Its mad to neglect your body if you pamper your face. In fifteen years time they wont match. It only takes 60 seconds

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:10

The Nivea Rich Care Body Moisuriser is pretty gloopy.

The Nutrogena Norwegian formula one, for the body, is a lot lighter.

I mix it w/Dove self-tanner one in spring/summer.

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:10

I don't moisturise my face.

Only use RoC anti-ageing stuff on it at night.

nailpolish · 29/01/2007 15:11

did yousee the woman on the antiques roadshow last night?

very tanned, nice looking woman, about 65, but she was so wrinkly! her entire body, or waht i saw of it, but not her face

obv had been on lots of holidays and not used screen

tsk

i had to call dh from the kitchen to see

Oh don't worry Lorina.

I neglect my face as well.

It will all match

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:17

She should have stuck w/self tanner!

Just watching '10 Years Younger' was enough to put me off sunbathing for life.

I used to lovely Origins Citrus Body Souffle every morning left your skin feeling like velvet. gorgeous. They don't do it anymore mother bought me the 'ginger' equivalant apparently but it's just not the same

Lorina · 29/01/2007 15:21

Socci get the same brand as your facial moisturiser if its one you love

SmileysPeople · 29/01/2007 15:21

In my defense, I tend to oily skin anyway and find I don't need to moisturise.

I will get my payback from my spotty youth, when my old oily skin is still soft and supple, compared to the wrinklies futilely and obsessively applying lotion

nailpolish · 29/01/2007 15:22

nowr wrong with sunbathing as long as you use screen

Fimbo · 29/01/2007 15:23

The Bodyshop body butters are fab. I have just finished a tub of their Cranberry one.

nailpolish · 29/01/2007 15:24

i lke St Ives body moisturiser, also agree with fimbo about hte Body Shop

chenin · 29/01/2007 15:25

I moisturise my old bod all over at least once a day and normally twice! My skin just feels so tight if I don't. I use all sorts of body moisturisers... I just try them on my hand before I buy... don't like them too light but not too greasy either, and smell is important!
If I didn't I'm sure I would be all scaly like a lizard or something!

fishie · 29/01/2007 15:25

revlon dry skin relief lasts longest. smells nice too and doesn't interfere with scent. i do not like the niffy ones and they are usually too thin for me.

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:25

I find the butters too heavy, although they're great during pregnancy.

I still have one of the cocoa butter ones left.

I used to use Palmer's cocoa butter lotion, but I only like hte pump one - the other one tends to clog IME - and that one's hard to find up here, so I switched to Nutrogena.

So far, so good.
