i dont like the smell of cocoa butter

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 15:28

I'm really lucky in that I have olive skin, so it takes a tan easily - although I've never been a sunbather - and doesn't wrinkle much.

I used to get a light tan just doing spots outside, as I lived at about 6,000 ft., but these days I just get it out of a bottle.

Might actually go for a proper self tanner this time and not just the tinted lotions.

Lorina · 29/01/2007 15:29

Yes socci thats me I'm afraid. I'm starting to get the 'V' lines in my cleavage. I have to use proper face cream there now because body stuff just isnt enough.

Wish I had known about sun protection in my youth.

Luckily the face has escaped relatively untouched, because I always had big hair shading it

oh that ulrika is a fright

wats happened to her tits? or she needs a new bra fitting

SilentTerror · 29/01/2007 19:48

Ulrika looks dreadful.Too thin,too tanned,too blonde! Very ageing,IMO!!
Good candidate for 10 Years Younger.
I like the L'Oreal Nutrishimmer self tan/moisturiser,very good.Might try the new St Tropez one that is out, called Everyday.

Kiehl's body lotion twice a day. Its the only way to go. It makes your skin feel gorgeous. I wouldn't use anything else.

mosschops30 · 29/01/2007 21:33

I love Vaseline Intensive Care and moisturise with it every time I shower (once a day, sometimes twice), i do notice a difference in the softness of my skin especially legs and arms

agree ulrika looks like an old hag, urgh shes horrible, bet shes a cow too

expatinscotland · 29/01/2007 21:45

Kiel's cost a bomb, paula!

It's lovely, though.

I used to love Lubriderm and Curel, but you can't get them here.

Lilliput · 29/01/2007 22:26

I had to google Ulrika after seeing her on Dancing on Ice ti find out how old she is. She is 39 . I thought she looked mid 40's and a little heavy browed with botox!!

NorksBride · 29/01/2007 22:52

I use Horse & Crook Orange Oil & Jasmine cream, which smells divine, for my body about once a week.

I've used Estee Lauder Daywear on my face, and down to my cleavage, everyday for years and years. It's practically the only cream that doesn't leave me with a greasy sheen. I'd say my skin was holding up well but I'm beginning to get a long wrinkle under each eye But I am nearly as old as Ulrika.

Kbear · 29/01/2007 22:58

Body Shop Africa Spa body cream is nice, smells lovely and isn't greasy. They do a foot and hand butter too. slap in on last thing, wake up = dream goddess of smoothness!

jampot · 29/01/2007 22:59

i try to bodybrush every night before shower and moisturise with a Loreal nutrilift

it does make one feel nice

JackieNo · 29/01/2007 23:00

I like ones from Lush, but they do tend to be quite scented. I moisturise after I shower in the morning - it just doesn't feel right any more not to, I've been doing it so long.

JackieNo · 29/01/2007 23:01

Oh yes, and use the exfoliating gloves from the Body Shop in the shower. Although I like using scrubs, I find them a bit time consuming on a daily basis, so the gloves are quicker, for me, anyway.

paulaplumpbottom · 29/01/2007 23:22

Its a touch pricey expat but worth it. I used to use lubriderm as a teen and I did love it.
