talk to me about your post baby boobs

so.... pre my two beautiful babies I was a size 8 and a 32D/DD. To be fair I had been on Yasmin contraceptive for about 8 years which made my boobs materially bigger than they were before. However, two wee babies later my breasts have almost completely disappeared (32A just) - only because they were once big, they are now just a bit wrinkly and depressed looking. I am 36 and still a size 8. So my question ladies, was did you experience a total disappearance of breast tissue after babies (I breastfed both for 5 months each)? And if you did, did it ever come back? I have gone back on the pill now and live in hope that my two girls might be tempted out of hiding, but my DS is now 15 months old and things are not looking good!

I feel I am too young to have such depressed boobs and am seriously thinking of getting implants (yes I'm vain enough to consider and no, absolutely no pressure from DH). However having said that I am happy to wait 6 months to see what happens - i just wondered if anyone else's had returned either naturally or as a result of the contraceptive? I know these things shouldn't matter, but they do to me.

Also, if anyone has had their boobs done post children I'd be really interested to hear how it went! Thank you.

Mine returned to more or less normal about a a year after finishing feeding the last baby. I breastfed for a year per child. 20 years on and I can still do the pencil test successfully. I was religious about wearing a good bra both during pregnancy and bfing.

I say if you can afford it and it will make you feel better about yourself, go for it. I started out with DD cups and after breastfeeding was an H cup, which 13 years later has never deflated. While large, my breasts are very droopy and my nipples literally point down. I would LOVE a reduction and lift. I would do it in a second if I could.

I went and got my fixed, just got god sake don't get pregnant again afterwards otherwise it's money down the drain. I will be getting them done, again, next year 10 years later but I ruined them after just 3 years with DC 4

Mine are definitely not the same after 3 pregnancies and breastfeeding. Same size but the fullness at the top has disappeared.

Am I going to be the first person to say you're probably not a 32 if you're a size 8? I wear a 32 band and I'm a size 16 (admittedly more like a 14 on top).

Pre-baby I could whack my boobs into any old bra and they would be fine. Post-baby I need a strictly fitted bra to coax the boobage up and out from my armpits. I'm a similar overall size but have 'lost upper fullness' as they say. Don't know whether we can expect any further improvement as my DS is a similar age to yours.

So a new bra might make you feel better with your clothes on. Clothes off - it's surgery or self-acceptance, I think.

I fed till ds was two and had complete spaniel ears for ages I'd read somewhere that it takes 6 months to start getting some structure back to them. I started thinking about surgery after a while. They started filling out again after about a year, perhaps just less. They aren't what they were but I've stopped thinking about surgery. Oh and I only fed from one side and they are practically identical, the one I fed for two years from is very slightly saggier but there's not much in it.

Another one here with empty pouches. I fed DD for 13 months and wasn't well endowed pre DD and definitely even less so now! They're still firm but just very small and I have resorted to a padded bra every day. Only saving grace is I'm a size 8 so they don't look too out of place unless I'm in a bikini!

I was a 34B before I had kids. I went up to C when I was breastfeeding. I'm now a 34D.

I've gone from a 36B to a 32DD after losing my baby weight after dc3. BUT the 32Dd is an optical illusion, they look tiny, they are just stretched skin I think and I imagine they may shrink back eventually. I went up to a EE cup while breastfeeding. I seem to have a very wide set bust, they don't meet in the middle like a cleavage, and I have spent the last few months trying on hundreds of bras to remove my armpit fat, minimise and actually keep the boob in the cups, and it's depressing. I think I'm imagining the measurements but if I reduce back size or cup size I spill out everywhere. Babies wreck boobies. Fact.

All this "you can't be a 32 if you are a size 8" business. I don't get it. I'm a size 8-10 and a 32 band (E/F cup). I've tried smaller bands since reading bra intervention threads and they are incredibly tight and mark my skin something chronic. The 32 leaves marks by the end of the day. Anything less than that digs in like a bastard. I don't have a big rib cage either.

DD is a size 12-14 and wears a 34 band, though is moving up towards a 36 in reality as the 34 on the loosest setting is too tight.

Rigby fancy pants put me in an £80 bra that was a 34 when I was a good size 14, before kids and I kid you not the marks lasted for days I considered going to the GP, it was almost like bruising. Never again

Marks are ok, bleeding/bruising obviously not! But my bra leave marks just like my socks and jeans do (inner seams on legs)
I wear a 32/34 at a size 16. Tbf if I didn't have the boobs I would be a 14

Babies wreck boobies. Fact.
Not fact. Not for everyone.
Mine are bigger and look better than they ever did before.
They are pert enough to go braless, I have cleavage for the first time in my life. I threw out some of my old B cup bras a while ago and couldn't even imagine how I fit my boobs in them.
2 babies, breastfed both for the best part of a year.

I do wonder if genetics has anything to do with it. My sister has had 2 kids and her boobs are bigger and firmer than mine.

Mine were a g cup.
In pregnancy they went to an H.
Breastfeeding sent them porn star style to a j.
I heard after breastfeeding your boobs shrink to nothing. I was soooooo excited.
When I stopped breastfeeding they shrank...... back to a g.
They look the same albeit a bit lower than before.

I'm saving for a reduction.
I've been put off another baby as my boobs were pure hell. No clothes fitted my otherwise size 8 frame. I dreaded feeding in public because of them. Nursing bras after three washes offered no support at all, and it was a nightmare finding stuff with a 28 back

I was a 32-34 A/B before Children. I fed each of my four for at least a year and, at my biggest, was a GG. I am now a 32 C, with a better cleavage than before and they are full and, for a C cup, pert ... my Elder Sister lost the little she had

I was a 28F pre kids, H cup while breastfeeding ds1. Breastfed ds2 for 3 years and wore a FF cup. I stopped breastfeeding him about a year ago, they shrank back to 28F but looked at bit crinkly and sad. However in that last three months they have gone up to 28G and are perky and full like pre kids but bigger. I have no idea why they are growing and actually prefer them a bit smaller. I'd say give it at least a year and see what they are like then.

mine are smaller, most of the volume lost at the top and a bit wrinkly. I think if I was single again I'd consider a lift but they're OK and aging can naturally change boobs anyway, not just DC.

mine went smaller after breastfeeding DS2, from a 34C to 34A (a sad floppy 34A)

It took a year to get back to 34C again. Am also on Yasmin BTW

10 years later, they are exactly as they were before having babies , strange but true.

I am a size 8-10 and wear a 34 band. 32 literally bruised me.
Before getting pregnant I was a B cup. In pregnancy a D and breastfeeding God knows but maybe an F.
Now I am a C on the right and a small B on the left. Awesome.

Thanks all! BabyGanoush, how quickly did you go back on Yasmin after babies? I am on Lucette which I have been told is identical to Yasmin in terms of composition and i'm waiting for them to regrow!! Hurrah, maybe they will - I've only been back on the pill for 2 months so I'm hoping it's a matter of time...

I'm breastfeeding my 11 mo and have lost my baby weight and my previously nice boobs! I'm hoping to wean soon. I'm also going wedding dress shopping soon but now thinking that if my breasts are likely to deflate further perhaps I need a style where there is no cleavage on show! I feel irrationally moody about this as I have worked hard to lose weight and want to look good on the day. But at least this is a place I can admit that.

Mine aren't too bad, they're slightly bigger but less firm/more, er, gravitationally affected. My mam was the same so it's possibly genetic...
