Footner Klaxon!

JellyBellyKelly · 04/07/2016 19:52

Right... I have a wedding in the middle of August to which I'd like to wear strappy sandals, but my feet and especially my heels are a complete state.

So, I have bitten the bullet and bought Footner.

I never bought I'd say this but I'm getting to see Mumsnet for its true colours. so... (Deep breath)

Anyone want a photo diary?

I'm watching too. I've bought myself a footner but I haven't used it yet.

Do I have to wear socks in bed though? I hate wearing socks in bed. Sad

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 04/07/2016 20:37

Holy shit that Google link looked terrifying! My feet are worse than yours OP but I don't know if i could do that to them... Of course I want to follow for pictures!!

Dontneedausername · 04/07/2016 20:51

I have a few pics of my feet mid footner...
I love it! I'll post them, but the are flakey so be warned...

VilootShesCute · 04/07/2016 21:14

Ooo soak them for an hour beforehand. Seriously. And then every day after for a week it helps no end Grin

I'm intrigued by this and dying to try it but live in sandals all summer and not sure if I could face wearing shoes and socks for a week.
If I do commit is the advice soak feet before application and then every evening after (I always shower, never bathe)

AllTheCats · 04/07/2016 22:00

I treated my feet on Tuesday and soaked them for about ten mins before. I haven't soaked them or had a bath since (just a quick daily shower) until tonight. This is a photo of them now.

Excuse the manky nail varnish....

ephemeralfairy · 05/07/2016 00:04

WOW!!! I need that in my life! And oh look, Boots have £5 off....

OliveBranchCollins · 05/07/2016 07:41

Place marking I've got a pair lurking in the drawer but I'm too scared to use them.

LakeFlyPie · 05/07/2016 09:19

Ah, I see, sandals might be off for a few days Shock
A few questions:
How long does the peeling last?
Is it possible to pull off 'good' skin with the inevitable peeling and picking or will only the peely bits come off?

FuzzyOwl · 05/07/2016 13:22

I think only the peely bits Lake because it suggests putting Vaseline on the top of your feet to suggest peeling there but I didn't and the dry skin there is minimal whereas the bottom of my foot and heel has completely come away.

JellyBellyKelly · 17/07/2016 20:50

Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!

I got completely sidetracked for days, I know

Anyway, today is F-Day...

I have soaked my feet for an hour as per advice from PP and just put these bad boys on....

Photo updates to follow over the next few days....

Day 1 post Footner.

No difference by sight but my skin definitely feels different... Not to touch but when I move my feet. It feels a bit 'crepey '. Probably psychosomatic. Now soaking feet for an hour.

Will report back soon!!!

BigApple11 · 18/07/2016 21:51

BigApple11 · 18/07/2016 21:51

Pinkerbeller · 18/07/2016 22:21

Foot sporn! (AKA placemarking before purchase decision)

farkoff · 19/07/2016 06:22

Amazing photos Shock

I did my first Footner on Sunday evening. Soaked in the bath and paddling pool yesterday. No peeling yet.

JellyBellyKelly · 19/07/2016 21:54

Farkoff... We did our Footner on the same day.

I have soaked for around a hour a day since I did it.

No dice here yet. You?

More soaking today. They are doing a weird lizard skin thing. Very scratchy; they feel like sandpaper. Had them in the paddling pool for a good 30 mins this evening

farkoff · 20/07/2016 21:52

STILL NO PEELING
