Bit nervous, hope I don't come out looking like a footballer from the 80s. Ive asked for body, soft waves, gentle curls. Not really looking for a response, just posting because, yknow.

I have been contemplating a perm for a couple of years now, but would have to grow it quite a bit first.

Ok here's the update. This is the perm. Washed this morning, just a bit of finishing beeswax cream. No mousse. Has a tendency to go frizzy, and I m not used to not touching it, but I still like it. Phew. When I don't like it, or its too fluffy I just tie it up and its barely noticeable that I've had it done.

Cactus I'll ask my hairdresser for the details.

Hello OP. Wondered if you could give us an update on your perm. I screwed up my courage to have one today but the hairdresser talked me out of it. :(

Could you tell me how long yours lasted? And was the upkeep difficult? Would you do it again?

Actually that's really nice, it's a very gentle wave. Not like the perms of the eighties.
