Bit nervous, hope I don't come out looking like a footballer from the 80s. Ive asked for body, soft waves, gentle curls. Not really looking for a response, just posting because, yknow.

That's lovely!

Liiinoo · 29/06/2016 17:07

It's looking good so far. Please update us in a week or so.

HellaBella · 29/06/2016 19:09

Ooh your hair is the length of mine I'm tempted now! How long does a perm last?

Diamogs · 29/06/2016 19:13

IIRC it usually takes a few days for a perm to settle in a bit so don't panic if you're a bit unsure at first - but I really like it.

SophieofShepherdsBush · 29/06/2016 19:50

No i do like it. I think it will look really nice piled up on top of my head in a messy up do. No idea how long it's goibg to last. It seems really soft and in nice condition right now, I wonder if it will lose condition. I also have no idea what products it needs or how I'll stop it goingfrizzy but i guess I'll learn.

Have a look at one of the recent curly threads - treat perms like natural curls for the best look.

Polkadot1974 · 29/06/2016 21:53

This is just how I wanted my perm when I was 15. It did t look like this! Love it

Pheobe1 · 29/06/2016 22:04

I asked my hairdresser about a perm recently and she told not to be so ridiculous as no one had perms these days😀

I love yours, I'm going to show her this thread.

Does anyone know if you can perm hilighted hair?.

cheeseandmarmite15 · 30/06/2016 05:29

I think h.our hairdresser has done a great job. You've got tousled rwave rather than the corkscrew look we all sported in the 1980s and it looks natural and lovely.

JackandDiane · 30/06/2016 05:48

Are you MAD?

CuttedUpPear · 30/06/2016 06:17

I hope yours goes better than mine did. I went against all advice on here and got a perm about 8 months ago.
Still trying to grow out the frizz now.

Do let us know how you are managing it, best of luck.

Dontanalyseit · 30/06/2016 07:37

It does look like natural curls.

SophieofShepherdsBush · 30/06/2016 08:23

Oh no cuttedpear I hope that's not going to be the case.
Yes maybe I am mad!

Wow, I'm really impressed. Had mine done a couple of years ago hoping if would look like that. The pixie crop I ended up with shortly afterwards would suggest otherwise.

Now that your hair is sorted, I think you should now look at buying a new foundation as the one you are wearing is too pink toned for your skin and looking at your bare neck, it's really obvious how thick youve troweled it on your face.

And your foundation is absolutely fine.

Cheese that's so rude!!! OP the foundation looks fine. And lovely hair.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/06/2016 16:36

I think cheese was joking about the pink mask Wink

Queenbean · 30/06/2016 16:37

Ha ha. Woops. Too much actual skin on show to realise it was a joke!

As you were Grin
