Are Fitflops frumpy? What is best alternative?

Looking for best comfy flip flops - are Fitflops seen as frumpy? Someone said they are so now I'm thinking twice about getting some.

I'm amazed how many people find these things comfortable. I definitely have weird feet I think... Or weird legs maybe? This thread is almost making me want to give them another go...

I have Sketchers Go Walk Fiji in blue and grey but they are lretty much sold out everywhere. They are so comfortable even on hard and stoney ground, due to injury I need lots of padding and suport underfoot. The band is also soft and padded.

Seen these that look like the same design but diferent pattern.
