I can no longer afford Lancôme mascara. What's the next best thing?

I'm on maternity leave and need to adjust my budget accordingly glares at DH

Have used Lancôme Grandiose since it came out and I LOVE it. However, I can no longer justify £25 on a tube of mascara now I'm on maternity pay so I'm looking for an alternative, under £15.

What's best? I have half decent lashes but they need fattening and lengthening.

Oh dear, I'm going to put a cat among the pigeons now - I bought THREE of the Maybelline green and pink mascaras as there was an offer on and after just one day was looking at bootsale-ing the untouched two. I really, really couldn't understand how it could be the US's top-selling mascara. My current favourite is Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara - I'm not sure if you can still get it in shops but I bought three on the internet and they worked out at about a fiver. PS I used to use Lancome too.
